This is important, I’ve seen a lot of people in the AvM/AvA community say that Alan never confirmed the gender of the stick figures or said they’re genderless/gender neutral.

Just to be clear, Alan did in fact comfirm their genders in his 7 million subs stream. You can headcanon them as any gender you want, but don’t force your headcanons on others by saying “but Alan confirmed they’re genderless” “Yellow is female confirmed by Alan!” No, that’s just wrong and disrespectful, even if you didn't know they were gender confirmed, you can't just mislead with misinformation and disrespect Alan as a creator.

I shared this clip because I saw someone in the AvA community tell a new Alan Becker fan that one of the stick figures are dating and that it's "canon" and it's just... telling someone new to the fandom something you see as canon and having them think it's canon is bad because they'll later find out it's false.

Note

Don’t use this clip as a “proof” to insult people’s headcanon, yes it’s canon but that doesn’t mean you have to harass people over it.

Ship any characters you want from AvA/AvM but don’t tell people (especially those who are new to the franchise) that it’s canon.
