“That Paris exists and anyone could choose to live anywhere else in the world will always be a mystery to me.”

Before my first trip to Europe in 2015, I wanted to watch movies set in Europe, so as to get a feel for it. I stumbled upon one of my favorite movies to this day: Midnight in Paris. This movie is probably the closest you’ll get to being in Paris without actually being there. Although I have a great deep love for all of Europe and its hidden treasures anywhere you go, there’s nothing quite like Paris, at least for me, that is.

This time around, I only spent half a day there, but it was so worth the trouble. I was actually quite disappointed at first though, with the Eiffel Tower, but I might have to be disappointed with the world instead. In 2015, anyone was allowed to freely waltz under the Eiffel Tower. Currently, even just for a peer up the tower, a security check with a tedious line is required. We opted out and decided to just admire from a distance. I have yet to experience the views from the top, due to lack of interest and time, but it is something I am sure to do when the time is right.

On this day, I am glad to have picked out a fresh outfit, seeing as I would’ve been profusely sweating otherwise. I wore a pair of cinched waist shorts I had recently purchased at an H&M in Madrid. H&M has stores all over Europe and the US, which was not of my knowledge until recently.  I paired the shorts with a fitted striped top from a thrift shop, some simple black sandals from A’gaci, a black, over the shoulder, faux leather purse from Call it Spring, sunnies from Call it Spring, a beige leather watch from Fossil, a stacked necklace from Forever 21, and other handmade, or kiosk accessories.
