Snake's Abilities, the Cheatsheet

He is indeed a hybrid snake/man, though even he doesn't know the full details on how that came to be

He does understand what the snakes are saying; however, they don't form proper English sentences exactly. It's closer to strings of simple words that convey senses, emotions, thoughts, instincts, etc

Snake is the one who formulates those things into proper sentences, and he sees that as part of his duty as a translator

He does sometimes obscure his own thoughts from others, hiding behind his snakes to say them for him, since at least one of them typically agrees with him about the situations they're in

That said, everything the snakes say is not necessarily something Snake himself agrees with or thinks; they are each their own individual sentient creature

He does indeed change his voice or inflection for each snake, as a way to both convey their personality/uniqueness, and to uphold clarity in conversation

He is never without any less than five of them at a time, though many of his snakes roam freely, returning to him as they see fit

He has a total of 14, each ranging in size, coloration, venom-potency (a couple are even non-venomous), and personality. Most of them have been with him since his freak show (pre-Noah's Arc) days
