exhausted. that's how you would describe how you were feeling. with your job and/or school weighing you down, you felt like you had to carry everything on your shoulders. when you arrived at his studio, you immediately fell into his lap, laying your head on his shoulder. his warm hands traveled up your back and landed on your tense shoulders, rubbing what stress he could out of them. he always smelled so good, the perfect mixture of coffee, cinnamon and his quite expensive cologne. it never failed to remind you of home. it reminded you of why you keep fighting and why you don't give up. he is your own, much like you are his.

the sounds of roaring rides and people screaming and laughing filled the air. colours of all sorts set a bright rainbow hue down the road and the smell of salt and sugar filled your senses. it was beautiful, really, but there was something, someone, that made it better. the feeling of his hand tightening around your own brought you out of the childlike trance you were in. his beautiful smile made your own lips curves up as well. his beautiful hair flowed in the soft wind and the golden rays of the setting sun made it look like he was glowing. he pulled you closer, putting an arm around your waist and pulling you into his chest. he always smelled like home, even if you were miles from it. just looking at him, feeling him or smelling him made you feel safe, and you wouldn't want it any different.

 you were exhausted from a long day. people were on your nerves, the work was overwhelming and you were just overall tired. you felt like the weight of the world was on your shoulders. you felt like you wanted to slip away forever and never return. you opened the door to your home and there he was. laying on the couch, one arm behind his head and the other on his stomach. he looked like an angel. he was your angel. the sound of the door closing woke him from his slumber and he directed his attention towards you. his eyes lit up like the milky way and his smile graced his soft features. you made your way towards him and he had already opened his arms, waiting for you to lay in them, almost like he was programmed to do it. you took up his offer and laid comfortably in his embrace. his warm hands rubbed your back and his soft voice was by your ear, asking about your day. you said nothing, as all you wanted was to stay in his arms. he started to hum gently to you, like you were a baby in a deep sleep. his scent and warmth were the only thing that made you feel safe. his chest falling and rising, each breath rocked you slowly to sleep and you knew he would stay with you the whole night to keep you warm, safe and happy for eternity.

 he was overworked, tired, and in so much physical and mental pain. his dancer legs shaking in order to hold up his weight and his mind having to stress him to continue to get it “perfect”. he wanted to go home to see you. he wanted to lay down, watch tv and only think about how warm you feel while laying on his chest. the click of the door opening made his head snap up. a smile was put on his face and his heart seemed to quicken. he’s seen you everyday for years but you never fail to make him nervous. he walks towards you and throws himself in your arms. his shoulders falling, his hands wrapping around your waist and his head falling into your neck. the way your hands rubbed his sore back and how your hands played with his slightly damp hair made the world stop spinning. who could think one person could make someone's life feel so peaceful with a simple touch.

 there wasn't a single night he was home on time. working for 5 hours more, eye bags as deep as the ocean and coffee cups littering the floor. his eyes were heavy and his shoulders sagged. the pressure he faced was unbelievable. his eyebrows furrowed and he felt like giving up. “do better”, “this is awful”, “it needs more”. the feeling of arms sliding down from his shoulders onto his chest brought him out of this trance. the smell of his person filling his senses while their hands massaged the tension out of his burning neck. he leaned back and smiled for the first time that day. it’s scary what love can do to a person but if it’s from you, he doesn’t mind.
