Some sketches for me and my friend @zebraflavoured ‘s Wolf’s rain AU; “pirates & merfolk” or something along the lines of that.
In a world filled with pirates and nobles, the ambitious researcher Cher Degre has a fascination with the mysteries of the sea, especially the legends of merfolk. Sponsored by nobles she goes out looking for a ship and crew who can take her out on the sea to look for answers.
She finds the ship The Wolfdog and its crew led by their captain Blue Yaiden. The crew of The Wolfdog are seen as tip toeing the line of piracy, dealing in some less illegal areas at times but mostly trying to do what’s best for the crew and sometimes the common people in general. They work for money on hired missions for the most part though, hired by anyone who got the coin.
Cher ends up on The Wolfdog and begins her journey. The captain Blue, who starts off doing the mission simply for the good pay, is soon pulled deeper into the mystery behind the quest. The two of them learn to work together and grow closer as their journey continues to get more and more dangerous and involved into the intrigue of pirates, nobles and merfolk alike.
This is mostly a basic outline for these two in the AU, and I look forward to drawing more for this in the future and also present the ideas for the other characters (and more with these two, I got some more ideas for these two)! :D
