Thillia Imposters (or 'Thillies') being an issue for crewmates is entirely the crewmate's own faults for originally bringing them on to begin with

also yeah, thillies just think that crewmates look like their suits and I think the 'witness to the horrors:tm: (something pretty mundane)' is funny so-

Like tessies, they prolly don't 100% understand what space is, so prolly just assume that it's some sort of invisible predatory creature that the crewmates sacrifice each other too sometimes to keep it sated. they can't really leave though so they're just sitting there, sweating nervously.

Dreon imp time- These guys are the ones that were inspired by xenomorphs btw- this is mainly the royal line of morphs, since it's really only the royals or monarchs that are full-blown imposters.

partially bc both queens and kings are larger than average and their porportions are off, they can't really fit into a crewmate suit (at least not without major damage to said ship.

their home planet is dying/decaying, so they're desperate to survive, and therefore are willing to commit atrocities if needed, even if it's against another sapient species (the crewmates)

Colored Tessies!! (The home planet/original place of origin for these guys is labeled as 'Tessilon' in crewmate documentation so they're referred to as Tessies or Tessilons)

finally settled on a solid design for Tessilon imposters (the guys you see in my fic) also commonly referred to as 'Tessies'

also yes the babies can be just as dangerous as the adults if you push them enough, but most of the time they'll just sit there and stare at you like a yippie while trying to learn how to act

just dont put your hand in front of their face when they're hungry and you wont have to worry about loosing it

He was around from first grade-ish aaaall the way to college so he means a whole lot to me

He was a pretty grumpy guys but I was OBSESSED with him as a kid (first cat) and drew pages and pages of him. It felt right to include him here!

here's the tweaking of a imp species for rewrite reasons. also some mating patterns+some other worldbuilding-

the eggsac is made from the internal meat layer of the female's reproductive organs, so technically the outer layer is essentially just... imposter jerky.

in their native habitat, they are prone to hanging their eggs from high up places to avoid egg thieves/predators. in crewmate ships, this often takes the form of them stashing their eggs in vents, from the ship's rafters, or any other high up place.

their reproductive style is a mix of haremic and monogamic, with the male actively assisting the females who stick with him through the rearing season, but during the mating season, he will try to mate as many times with multiple females as possible. females are somewhat similar, because their multi-chambered insides allow multiple males to sire their young.

also in rougher times it turns into a full blown battle royale in there since the unlaid young can and will cannibalize/absorb their siblings for nutrients. this does mean that gravid females and hangry bitches who will eat just about everything that they could get their teeth into.

younger males are smaller, and tend to lack the ormentation that the older males have, so they can't really compete in head-to-head combat until at least their frills reach full ormentation size and color.

young males and females look quite alike, so a older male either has to choose between potentially chasing off a female or a potential rival, and the vast majorty of the time, unless he catches a younger male mating, he will accept that risk, because chasing off a female would be more detrimental.

fully mature males are also larger than females.
