Near the end of my fanfic, Translational Errors, Purple becomes the unfortunate victim of a blast from an acid pistol. It only grazed his face, but it was enough to eat away at his skin and blind him in one eye. By the time of the sequel, Outside In, he is all healed for the most part, but remains disfigured. This is what he looks like compared to what Zim sees him as in his nightmarish hallucinations. Purple would be more than pleased to hear that he’s tormenting Zim’s mind after all this time.

I've been reading your fic 'Outside In', it's both terrifying and pretty cool so far! The infection that Zim goes through also reminds me of the Primal episode 'Plague of Madness', keep up the good work, your writing is great!

And YES! I’ve made that connection too! I believe I was also slightly inspired by the Grimora Effect from HTTYD:RTTE. The original idea I had for Outside In started with speculations on how primal Irkens would behave, and I wanted Zim’s illness to revert him back to an animalistic state. However, this devolved into a much more frightening and deadly condition as I developed the idea.

Seeing people being homophobic and transphobic on this app gave me the most massive shock I’ve ever had. It was like a slap to the face. Here? Really?? I haven’t been on Tumblr long but I thought this was supposed to be a safe space. This is the gayest app I can think of besides Grindr.
