I tried to add a reschedule function on the app. Some people like this idea but some people did not like this function because they want to cancel class first, then check when they will be available to book another class.  I struggled to decide to keep it or not. When I saw the prototypes on the same page I decided to change the reschedule functionality to cancel.

I made some changes on the calendar like using grey colour to show the past and blue circles to show current date, and I made an animation to choose a date. I also added a drop down icon to show people they can click the calendar and the calendar can expand.

I then got feedback from my teacher. She said my calendar did not show what day is today and what is the past, and what is the animation after you choose a day, and how people know that calendar can drop down.

I showed my classmates my first draft most of them gave me the feedback. They said the classes information box too small and the text felt very crowded. Than I changed the classes information layout.

After class, I made my first draft. I was trying make the booking class easier than the original App, so I made a drop down to select classes. People can choose the type of classes they want to check.

Week 6

In this week I got feedback from my class. My teacher said: I'm missing a bit of context setting around your experience. Without that it makes the survey results less meaningful. There's not a super strong line of evidence from your research results to you HMW question. What did you learn from your interviews and user tests about how people choose classes that you could have told us about? There's also no information around how many participants you spoke to. A little disjointed.

After I got feedback I know I did not think about the context setting and that was really bad and I should not use percentage on few people. so I made change with my research summary. In the user testing table I found that 5 out of 7  people in the scheduled course test didn't know how to use it. In the test 6 out of 7 people who checked the reserved courses could not find this function. Only 2 out of 7 people in the course cancellation test did not cancel. 6 out of 7 people in the test review class you have been couldn't find it. The results of user testing show that GymMaster is not particularly easy to use, and there are many areas for improvement.

in the class, I was working with a group of 5 people we were sharing ideas for everyone’s work and we drew wireframes together. It really helps me to give me ideas to make my wireframes.

I change my How Might we question because from my user testing result a lot of people did not how to book class. and I made a journey map for my user persona to see her pain point and I can have more ideas to help her user experience.

Week 5

I made my poster. I thought will be cool use pink colure. I drew pies and I use them to show my user testing data and I add my sumery information . I write my How Might We question:How might we help GymMaster beginners user to find a class site for their levels? and my research methods.I chose to use interviews and user testing. First, I wrote my interview questions, then interviewed my friends. I used open ended questions and used my phone to record the interview and user testing. After that, I used the notes to write a chart to collect information from all the interviews. I summarised the interviews and took the most important pieces of information from my research to develop my How Might We question. I used the information from my research to create my persona, which is based on the goals and pains from my interviews. At the end I added my persona’s bio, goals and pains.

I chose to Interview people to be my part of research because I want to know how people use their gym - do they need to book classes before they go or do they just show up.

I used user testing to be my part of research about what work on the GymMaster and what does not work. I let people use the app and give them tasks to do in order to see what actions are easy or hard for people to do.
