Here goes

Okay might start posting poetry here regularly but here's a poem I wrote for a sonnet project senior year. It's very tonally confused (because I had to read it in front of my peers, didnt wanna be too confessional) and kinda bad but gotta start somewhere:

Debauchery and Doritos caused it.

Trent Reznor’s screaming provoked me as well

Triggered an event akin to a fit.

Screaming, heart beating, my vocal cords swell

Staying up all night, thumbs tapping away.

Looking back, hindsight’s a 20/20.

Regret and remorse, they’re eating away.

Anxiety, it’s presence aplenty.

Alarm goes off, I awake in a jolt.

What’s going on? I try to discern this.

I scream and shout in a childish revolt.

I get out of bed, embezzled of bliss

Bellowing like Dante’s infernal hell

Mother consoles me so I can get well.
