Surprise!

Wondering why all the lights were off, Remus flicked the light switch and jumped as a shout of “Surprise!” erupted in the room.

Marlene: it’s a surprise party, silly!

Lily: well it’s not any of our birthdays, is it? Come on in!

As Remus walked further into the room, he noticed that all of the party guests were sporting the same accessory. Was everyone wearing…lipstick?

Sirius was the first to approach him, grinning cheekily before saying:

A bit stunned, Remus fumbled for words as James popped up next

Thoroughly amused (and confused) Remus laughed, eyeing Peter as he giggled shyly

Mary was next, quiet and a bit timid, she stretched up as high as she could

Lily was next, all soft smile and sparkling eyes as she pushed aside his bangs and pushed down on his shoulders so she could reach his forehead

Marlene was next, all bubbly laughter and pearly teeth

Dorcas was the last, placing her kiss right beneath Marlene’s.

Overwhelmed, Remus felt tears burn his eyes, his heart aching in a wonderfully pleasant way.

James: Oi, you alright, Moony?

Remus took a second to compose himself before saying the only thing he could to convey the fullness in his chest.

*tips hat* Well thank you!! Much obliged! Ahhh the revered Newsies. Can I tell you a secret? Although I may know half of the songs (at. best.) I have not watched the full show YET. Soo I suppose that when I do actually watch it, it’ll be on the cosplay docket. And YOU keep being awesome too!!  (BTW! I’ve been thinking about cosplaying some classic Doctor Who ever since you suggested it sooo stay tuned!)

vday project update: I, like a cowboy being dragged by a bronco, need to learn when to let go of the reins.
