it is my experience that people with dermal implants and eyeball tattoos and 34 visible piercings are the sweetest people you'll ever meet and will cry if they see a pigeon with a broken wing. it is also my experience that clean-cut people in polo shirts with perfect smiles will vote against your rights and say the most disgusting things imaginable once they think you're out of earshot.

4chan possibly going tits up today made me realize i never shared this banger of a screenshot i took a while ago

i was at an event last night in california and i went to the bar to order wine bc wine was like, a thing, and i looked at the menu and saw i was completely out of my depth bc idk any wine names, so i turned to my right and there was a man in a gorgeous suit standing at the bar beside me and i said “do you know anything about wine?” and he said “a little, yes!” i told him i liked white and dry wines and asked if he’d order for me. he asked the server for two glasses and had one poured for each of us and then he clinked his glass on mine but he didn’t take a sip, he just watched me taste mine and then he asked what i thought and i said “it’s pretty good, but like i said, i wouldn’t know.” he laughed and told me to have a good time & i walked away. fifteen minutes later i found out he’s the winemaker.

a reblog on a gifset got me thinking about this but. the captain's life was all about interruption. he was interrupted by the armistice when he wanted to go over the top of the trenches and fight in the first world war. he was interrupted by havers' leaving for north africa when he wanted to have someone to talk to and confide in when he was lonely or belittled by the others. he was interrupted by his own death when he saw havers again and tried to talk to him. he was interrupted by the art class when he wanted to share something personal and impotant to him. all of his life he was bombarded with interruption, but that didn't stop him loving havers even after five years of being apart or becoming part of a found family who loved and cherished him in their own ways no matter how annoying he or they were. im insane about him actually.
