Hel loves bedtime stories! 📚✨️

She never got many when she was younger, so now, every night in her quiet kingdom of the dead, she reads out loud to the souls who can’t sleep, especially the young ones who died too early or spirits who are scared and still lost. She has a huge collection of books: old myths, fairy tales, grim fables, and even soft, funny mortal stories that Loki sneaks down to her.

Some are written in old norse, other languages to those who didn't originally come from Scandinavia, and long forgotten ones. Others, she wrote herself, full of ghosts who find peace and monsters who become heroes. She likes to keep it that way, because than she can reach and comfort everyone. She even took the time to learn said languages!

The children curl up near her throne, some resting on pillows, others huddled under blankets. She uses different voices for characters, maybe a awkwardly at first, then growing more confident as the story went on. This is something Loki used to do, always bringing a smile upon her face.
