Andrea Dubau is a New York-based artist that grew up in Southern Spain. Her influences are derived from an early age, beginning with the Moorish culture prevalent in the art and architecture of Granada. An aesthetic that is exquisitely represented in the The Alhambra Palace. Her mother introduced her to paining at this time in her life, when she became interested in an abstract style of art — the simplicity of brush strokes and never ending dance between the brush and canvas.

Every artist has a special ritual, process that permits inspiration to take over the brush, and create.
My process for this paint, was more of a criticism to the old ways. Certain aspects are getting old, and obsolete. It’s perhaps time for a change. However, old ways have the value of experience and past results, as reference.
