And I thought about Dagur's hair as well!

This was probably my very first theory about his RTTE's haircut..

Although later I began to think about other versions, such as simply that his hair had become very dirty and tangled over time, due to the fact that he couldn’t take care of it in prison.. And perhaps Outcasts sometimes dragged him by it, which was also far from pleasant, so he decided to get rid of it..

However, looking at his short hair, it really looks like it was cut while still braided (it's much shorter at the back of his head)

Somehow I didn’t connect much those headcanons about Heather and Dagur’s cut hair before in my head.. but now it seems to me plausible in a new way!

Omg, I also thought about this once on my Instagram stories!

I then also noted that the portrait of Heather drawn by Oswald seemed to have 2 braids if you continued the drawing😶

And yes, it's quite possible that the Outcasts could have done this when captured her and her foster family.

I haven’t seen anyone say this but does anyone else think that Heather used to have two plaits? It looks like her hair was cut, probably by the outcasts

Redesign of the character Alice from my old "The Rise of Darkas" AU story

"The Rise of Darkas" is one of the oldest and one of the craziest ideas of mine in the HTTYD fandom:D

My thoughts about this began more than 5 years ago. This is basically the idea for which I came up with the whole hulf-human Dragons thing!

The first versions of the plot were absolutely illogical and not thought out... But nowadays I continue to rewrite and add to this story, just for myself so far.. And this Deathgripper girl is quite important to the plot as in the old version of the story, as in the new ones, so, I wanted to work on her design a little better))

(However this is one of the few old designs of mine that I still like so there aren't that many differences))

Old design~

Alice is actually quite a tragic character..

In the past, she was one of Grimmel's top Deathgrippers. He raised and trained her from birth and Alice saw him as her master and practically a father, adored him with all her heart and never considered the possibility that he might be wrong, so of all his dragons she was one of the most loyal and obedient.

But one single day plunged Alice into complete shock when an event occurred that forces her only beloved human, master and "parent" to commit suicide, killing himself with her poison, just in front of her eyes..

(actions of this version of the story take place 2 years before HTTYD3, plot of which will never happen)

A LOT happened in her life later...

She saw herself in a half-human form for the first time.

She found herself a new master.

For the first time started thinking about her life.

Experienced real “parental love”, which, as she previously thought, Grimmel and her new master showed her.

And all this made her understand that perhaps both he and Grimmel weren’t as good and right as she thought..

This developed into terrible psychological trauma and a HUGE feeling of guilt for how much she did on their orders, being sure that they were right.

The end of her story isn't quite written yet...

But spoiler: thanks to her own efforts and the various interactions of the creatures around, her ending will be relatively happy, even if it may not possible to be completely like that :,)

Heather and Dagur! I’m drawing Heather with a hooked nose because they’re cool and I want her to look slightly more related to Dagur (although maybe I should give her a Roman nose instead cause I think that’s actually more what he has.)

Hulf-human Sleuther (Darkar) redesign concepts ~🤲🦂🧡

I've been shipping this guy with Angelled since 2018 (maybe even earlier), but during all this time I've told almost nothing about his personality and I guess the redesign is a good reason to finally tell you some more))

Some of old designs per those years~

Btw, I have one old and rather large headcanon story about Angelled, Darkar and Tharrax (Toothless) that does a good job of showing their personalities and relationships with each other, maybe one day I'll find a good way to share this..)

But for now personally about Sleuther-Darkar🧡

I see him as funny, sarcastic but actually not really mentally stable guy. Forsed fighting in the dragon hunters' arena made him strong, decisive, but risky, demanding of oneself and anxious. (According to my story, he spent in arena about 4 years)

It's very important for him to always be the best in everything, otherwise he gets worried. Therefore btw, despite his sarcastic nature, he behaved pretty quietly around Tharrax (Toothless), the fact that he lost to him in the arena was burdening him for a long time.

Darkar and Dagur have a lot in common. They both believe that openly showing feelings is weakness (Angelled is in the same club with them btw), both have kind of trust issues..

Although the initial reason why Darkar liked Dagur was simply gratitude for saving him from the hunters, whom Darkar was panicky scared of in the first months after escaping from the arena.

Darkar & Angelled's relationship in turn began long before even Toothless met Hiccup (this is what the headcanon story is dedicated to), during this time they went through many trials, but even after many years of separation remained faithful to each other so much that Angelled even accepted the fact that Darkar wanted to connect his life with humans who were still not pleasant to her. And he accepted the fact that she wouldn’t follow him, and was ready to lead a double life.

In general, they're duet of two pretty traumatized persons.. But they adore and respect each other, which is probably my personal ideal of a relationship, which is why I love them so much~🧡💜😌💜🧡

🤎🧡Half-human Meatlug (re)design concepts🧡🤎

(For RTTE - HTTYD2's age)

~Real name is Iduna~

I see her as a kind, mature and responsible person. Perhaps she can even be called the most responsible among the main dragon gang))

She's logical, knows how to solve social problems and is actually not bad at fighting if she's ready for it. However, she's far from a fan of it, so if danger takes her by surprise, she may fall into serious panic.

This girl took me A LOT of time and various edits..:,D

New thing I finally tried in design is the lower fangs..

Some dragons have noticeably larger fangs on the lower jaw than on the upper. But in the hulf-human versions I always drew the upper fangs sticking out, thinking that the lower ones were impossible to draw beautifully.

However, I tried it this time and it didn’t even turn out so bad, so now I don’t know which version is better..!

It's truly hard to call this a REdesign actually... Bc what was previously hard to call a design!

Here are my only two drawings of her, from 2018 and 2019😶

I never thought about her as a character in the past, her "design" was absolutely random and completely thoughtless. For the previous Dragons, I already had concepts of personality and appearance, that went through a 5-year development path in my head, but as for her and the rest of the main Dragon gang.. For them I have almost nothing.

So.. they'll probably take me a little longer, but I promise (first of all to myself) that this time I'll definitely draw all of them, and not just my favorites!:,D

According to my tradition - new art of my sweeties, Angelled (completely redesigned😌) and Darkar (with one of the redesign concepts😶)

I must say, their redesigns are probably my greatest art achievement of this year💅

P.S. Really wanted to finish Darkar’s concept sheet in order to draw the final version on this art, but didn’t menage to do this, so maybe I’ll still change something later, but overall I like how he looks here))

💛💙Hulf-human Stormfly redesign concepts💙💛

Back in 2021 I already tried to redesign her.. (The last pic is the very first design)

But in the current version I want to pay more attention to Dragons' personalities as characters, and it turned out that the old redesign no longer fits with how I see her, so.. I present you the new one!~🤲

Perhaps I have a rather unpopular opinion about Stormfly's personality, bc in most popular ones she's "cool like Astrid" girl (in my older versions too btw)

And yes, she's definitely cool, but for me she's much less "serious" than her rider)) She also doesn't have that note of arrogance like Astrid, she's just a fun girl)

Very cheerful, sometimes hyperactive, open, kind but a little sarcastic, which makes her a good friend with Toothless))

P.S. But however, despite all her positivity, be sure, if you make her angry, you will REGRET IT!>:D

Half-human Windshear redesign concepts :0🤲

I'm pretty proud of this, I must say👀

I see Windshear as this type of character, in just one look of whom, you can read the phrase: "I would like to damn kill you right now, but don’t want to get my hands dirty, so just f*ck you!"

The original says that Razorwhips don't mix well with other dragons and not only dragons.

She seems to me a distant, closed and hot-tempered person. She loves and is devoted to Heather, but doesn’t always want to even give others chances.. She's also quite arrogant, which is why other dragons had a lot of conflicts with her in the beginning.

But I like to think that she still became a little friendlier later)

My old designs of her, for some reason, was inspired by Harley Quinn.. (I really don't remember why.. Perhaps bc I always saw Windshear as sexy-looking and pretty toxic character)

In the new versions, I moved away from this almost completely and the only thing I want to keep is the name Harleen as Windshear's real one. Idk why, but I think it suits her))

💙Half-human Light fury redesign concept arts (for HTTYD3's age)💙

I love this girl very much and think that she definitely deserves to get a better design than what I was giving her before.. So here it is!))

About of how I imagining her💙

According to the personality I gave to Light fury, she's kind and caring person (sometimes even too much)

She has some psychological issues due to the fact that for most of her life she was forced to be living bait for Night furies. Impressions from the terrible murders of her "brother specie" probably made her afraid of ending up under Grimmel's weapon herself, if one day Night fury wasn't caught..

Because of this, she's a pretty good liar, but suffers from paranoia and social anxiety. She subconsciously feels big part of the guilt for the deaths of many Dragons and whole Toothless' specie, and tries to compensate for her past by caring for others, sometimes being quite.. intrusive with this.

However, the death of Grimmel and a new life with her beloved definitely began to improve her mental state, and I'm sure, she became a great wife, mother and queen of the Hidden world))

Regarding her name..

Initially, creating her first half-human version 4 years ago, I named her Victoria, in honor of one my friend who liked her very much :D

But over time, this name began to stand out significantly from others.. So I tried different ways to "distort" it somehow, like: Vicki, Vi’ku, Vikuona, Victorjua, Vikuara..

I still don't know what of that I like better..:,> And guess, I'm get so used to "Victoria" that just can't get far away from it anymore and try something completely new..:,D

This started out as a funny parody of Hazbin hotel's 💕Angel Dust💕 scene..

but then I wanted to draw one more piece, bc I mean.. the fact that "Everyone wants some of him~!" was actually Toothless' main tragedy throughout the entire HTTYD franchise, and I guess he understood that :,)

Also.. this art is my official full redesign of hulf-human Toothless!👏 (he's HTTYD2's age here) It's not perfect, but I like that my concept art abilities are growing little by little))
