consider also that Adam's not just being Like That because he's having major issues he is also Like That because he is absolutely at his first trying to handle his emotions round. This guy has never been aware of the fact he felt emotions prior to, like, six months ago. He is not good at emotional maturity he's good at "im not feeling this because I cant feel emotions :D look at how good and nice my hometown is" which isn't conductive to handling his feelings now is it

I love making Adam be kind of horrible and petty in dnd sometimes. He is not over the fact that the adventure he went on meant he can never go back to his home ever again even despite knowing that his home-archive was terrible and he will make it the problem of the guy who rescued him from there in the first place. Autism be damned my android can fit so many unresolved issues in him. He knows he's wrong about insisting to find any way to go back and he cannot admit it because before most else he's prideful and terrified. Heart emoji

Autism be damned by boy can be autistic as a separate something unrelated to the fact that he is an android because the woman who built him was also autistic and most of his core programming was made specifically to pick up traits from the people around him. It just so happens that he grew up in almost complete social isolation except for Sophie. And then people assumed he was like that because of the android thing and not because of the fact his mother was like that, denying him even the thought of having a familial bond with Sophie. Anyways
