  Craig has been waiting impatiently for the dude to finally leave their house, they usually all left early in the morning, thankfully so they didn’t have to have an awkward breakfast with them. Luckily this guy has just left as well, so Craig eventually got up from his bed and walked over to his mother’s room on tip toes. He stopped at the doorframe as he just rested his eyes on her angelic figure, she was beautiful when she was still asleep, but she was all the time though. Craig eventually entered the bedroom then crawled up on the bed with a small smile on his face. He began to press soft kisses onto his mother’s cheek. Craig has been doing this from a very young age, just to brighten his mother’s day up by giving her dozens of kisses till she would wake up. He nuzzled his nose against hers before he leaned back beside her. He held his eyes on her through his long fluffy locks what almost made it hard for him to see through sometimes. 

  ”Morning mum…” Craig sighed a bit as he bit a little nervously on one of his finger. “It was ridiculous you know…that dude. The both time he came it was within ten minutes, how pathetic is that?” He puffed his pudgy cheeks out as he was looking at his mother. He has been curious and nosy enough to eavesdrop or peek on his mother with other men from the age of six, and Norma more or less knew about it as the boy has been criticizing all the guys lately. “You really wouldn’t need these men mum. They’re all losers…and none of them deserve you. You’re so gorgeous and they’re just horrible you know.” He mumbled with a pinch of jealousy in his voice.

The man from last night hadn't been any better than the ones before him - sometimes she wondered why she kept doing this to herself. Norma craved love and a lasting relationship but no one was ever right - no one ever left her with anything but disappointment. She had Craig, her baby, and he was closer to her than most children were with their parents - he wasn't like other boys his age and was extremely dependent on her but she worried that he would one day decide to leave and have a life without her. Where would she be then? Alone forever, that was where. That was a thought that truly terrified her. Craig's mental disorders were part of the reason he needed her so much and it left him with a very slim chance of taking care of himself out in the world - she knew it was wrong for a mother to hope that her child would never overcome such obstacles and lead a normal life but she couldn't help it. If he didn't get better he would stay with her and he would always need her. Sometimes she felt extremely guilty for feeling that way but she couldn't help it.

Her ice blue eyes fluttered open at the familiar feeling of kisses all over her face - she smiled when she saw that the man she'd shared the bed with last night was gone and in his place was her beloved son. Another failed attempt which left her wondering how she'd believed he would be any different. Norma promised herself that she wasn't going to do this again anytime soon - she was going to put looking for romance on the back burner. She was going to focus all her time and energy into the work that needed to be done to make the hotel successful and of course, Craig -making sure that he went to his doctor's appointments and took his medication was a full-time job in itself. A soft sigh was released and she just shook her head. "Craig you know that you shouldn't be listening in on my private time...We’ve talked about this." A conversation they'd had many times but it still never discouraged him and probably never would. Any other parent would have been quite upset and concerned but not Norma - she just let a soft laugh escape her lips as she reached out to ruffle his dark locks. "Well every man out there can't be as charming as my son so sometimes a woman has to settle..." She teased as she kissed his forehead. The saddest part was she wasn't sure if he was right or not - she'd made a lot of mistakes along the way and what if this was all she deserved? Losers and one night stands.

✾ - Why I chose my character - I relate to Norma so much as a person. She’s passionate. A little high strung and overbearing at times but she honestly means well. She pushes herself hard and sometimes places high and even unrealistic expectations on herself. She doesn’t take no for an answer and will go to the ends of the earth to protect those that she loves. She is fiercely independent.
