A new journey : United Kingdom
Being 10,716 kilometres from home for the first time in my life, it would be a lie to say I am not afraid at all. First of all, the thought of “my family not being there physically for me even when I need them” scares the hell out of me. I am going to go through everything, alone. Nonetheless, without even realising i was already grabbing my passport, flight ticket as well as my two luggages passing through the immigration and waving my temporary goodbyes to the familiar faces i adore. Fortunate enough for me, the 14 hours flight felt like a breeze! (Maybe cause i spent most of the time sleeping and eating like a pro)
Oh did i say where I was heading to? Nevermind, I am already here! In the University of Exeter! The sad thing is tho, UoE is definitely underrated among Malaysians. Being one of the top 10 universities in the UK for accounting & finance to having a wonderful campus (im not joking, its so pretty!) to being in one of the safest places in the UK to having super easy access to halal food, UoE is super underrated among Malaysians.
Anyways, with a new place I would have to call home for the next three years comes high expectations and hopes. Being it the new friends you make, your accommodation, your studying environment as well as stuffs that you will never experience and you would want to given the chance, am I right? ( Well at least thats the case for me!)
For now, I will start the journey of achieving my dreams with Bismillahirahmanirahim. Will write soon on freshers week and the events I joined so far! Might even sneak in some photos!
Till then,
AA x
