Was watching someone n had to take out a calculator bc they said that they shouldnt have been watching panty and stocking dubbed in high school. And didnt clarify why they shouldntve.

They said their age earlier and the dub came out in 2012 so they were either 17 at the youngest or 18. Even considering the idea tht they watched fansub they wouldve been 15 at the youngest. Im sorry but 'i was too young to be watching this' as a phrase just annoys me truly n its cousin 'i shouldnt have been watching this' irks me even more.

anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this.

it is annoying as fuck to be Nahua Native in LA right now, surrounded by (mainly white) people acting like boarders aren’t violent no matter where they’re drawn and Mexico isn’t also a settler colony. Indigenous people south of the US border are still extant and we see what you think of us when you act like Mexico is somehow inherently universally Indigenous

It does always rlly surprise me when someone who i dont know comments on my reblog or tags. Mostly bc i dont genuinely expect it to happen like... ever? Occasionally ill post a link to sth without any additional words or a gfm n tht does well. N its not like im angry if someone comments on a reblog i made on a public post, im constantly in the notifs commenting on ppls tags n reblog additions.

Its just mostly shocking bc i dont expect anything i say on a reblog or an original post to warrent attn from others. Like its not a self confidence thing its like i don't think i post like shit or sth. Its just my own of coping of the fct tht i know i aint gonna get notes on shit. N despite it all i do crave validation. But id be disapointed all the godamn time if i expected bc it is an entirely selfish desire. My own self perception is tht im smart n funny n interesting. Esp in textual modes of communication

n i know tht i say wrong n dumb n irrelevant shit all the time too. But if i frame my blog as like for my own reflection n its a pleasant bonus if others interact then its just easier to deal with those unwarrented visions of grandeur as a misunderstood genius

you really can reach a point with transgender enlightenment wherein you can attribute any bodily feature silhouette and detail to any gender regardless of typical cisgender aesthetic connotations. anything can be a man's body if the person in it is a man. anything can be a woman's body if the person in it is a woman. anything can be a genderless body if the person in it is genderless. and so on. the only thing that matters is the personhood within and whether you are willing to look and know and see it. open your eyes. keep trying until you no longer flinch or turn away in shame or anger or confusion.

Which kinda goes to show tht like a rlly well designed character without attn paid to making that character look will make them look bad. Even in lines where everyone else looks pretty cute.
