Annabelle made a face and bit her lip. "God, I must look like an immature child compared to you, Brooke," she said quietly. The blonde popped her knuckles in the silence and nodded. "Yeah, coffee sounds good. I need some caffeine after that shocker Mum gave us."

"We would have been safer together. Mum and Dad would have kept us safe..." she muttered before talking a deep breath. This couldn't be happening. It was all too insane to be happening. Once she was calmer, she looked at Brooklyn. "19, but I feel 103. Have you regenerated yet?"

"No. No, this can't be happening. I have a sister?! And they didn't tell me?!" Annabelle exclaimed, grabbing her head. This wasn't fair. She could have had someone to travel with, to help her learn things, someone besides River and the Doctor. "Did you know about this? No, of course you didn't by the way you are acting. How could she not tell us...? Or the Doctor? How could he lie?!"

'You've got to be kidding me,' Annabelle thought. She had a sister?! Since when?! Or, what if it was coincidence? That had to be it! "River Song is my mum... Your last name is P-Pond?" she stammered, not believing anything.

The blonde looked at the other and gulped again. She must have known River for a while to respond to her name like that. She looked around the room before answering her. "I'm Annabelle Pond. My Mum told me to talk to you about my family. Mind if I know your name, miss?"

Annabelle looked at the piece of paper in her hand and swallowed. River had given it to her and said it was very important to see this person here. She gulped and entered the doors of what seemed to be a lab. When she saw the other female, she blinked and tried to tell what was off from her. "U-Um, sorry to interrupt, mate, but a River Song sent me here to see you," she replied, scared of what was gonna happen next.

It was a quiet day in the forensics lab. Brooke was bent over a light-table, goggles over her eyes to help her see, squinting at bone fragments. This cranial reconstruction was harder than had been originally thought. There were hundreds of tiny fragments that weren’t fitting together, and she was beginning to think that the department had mixed up cranial bone with something else.

She heard someone enter the lab, but didn’t look up. “What do you need? I’m a bit busy, so talk fast.” Brooke was expecting it to be one of her assistants or the chief of police or a fed.

She nodded and smiled. "I'm your daughter, Annabelle. You have met River Song, right? I mean, you have already met her in your last regeneration but have you met her again?" Annabelle looked at the Doctor and waited, hoping he had.

"You should go travelling again, Mum. When was the last time you went anywhere?" she asked, smiling.
