I can go down with both a D&D game that runs like traditional but is set in the world of MCD or to have a tabletop game that is trying to rebuild up fallen villages and making their own kingdoms.

Something I can see with the more D&D aspect is how well it can intograte. You could be able to play everyone like a pre-made character or have a rouge band of characters that are half-way across the world dealing with other things. Instead of the normal D&D gods, you got all these new ones. There's only one layer of hell but it is so dangerous and Shadowknights are something to be feared, able to wipe out a party unless you stragetize carefully.

When it comes with brand new characters, there's alot of reasons why the party would be together. Searching for magical artifacts, trying to restore an ancient city back to life again, attempting to find a cure to undo the curse of the Nether, even possibly trying to seek out the aid of a God for their cause, there's so many building blocks given that you could write a nice module with it. Especially when you have Werewolves and Mewf'ias being a race as human and elves, I feel there's alot of potential there.

When it comes to playing in the sytle of the original series, I feel like it would be better to have a different tabletop then D&D (maybe like Catan or RIsk? I don't know those too well forgive me) for the focus on the empire building. I'm more versed in D&D, and I can definitly see writing a module and stat blocks for this idea

Hey, people who like Minecraft Diaries from Aphmau! Whether that be the original or revamp series

What are your thoughts on a potential D&D 5e campaign? Would that sound cool? If so, would it be more interesting to play it in a similar style like the original series, where you're people who find a ruined village and help repair it and get involved in political thingies and wacky adventures, or would it be more preferred to have a classical D&D campaign but set in a world inspired/set in the MCD universe?

I've been planning out a system to play that's more akin to the classic idea of MCD mixed with a potential function like how the Empires SMP worked, where players could either rule together or separately while repairing/building up their own kingdoms or however, but I saw someone on twitter ask others of the community about their interests in a possible MCD D&D game.

I reached out on twitter too, buuuut... I unfortunately have no reach there 😔

I also don't have any friends who know/like Aphmau's MCD series. OH, wouldn't it be cool if there was a Phoenix Drop campaign with the MonsterHearts or Monster of the Week system?

I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm just curious! I know I haven't really interacted with the community in any way whether it be just talking about Aphmau stuff or fanart. I've posted at least one thing, maybe two (one being Asch, another being Thor Aph from Super Minecraft), but I have been trying (and failing) to draw more fanart and it sucks when I have no friends to indulge in conversations relating to it (and make OCs together, but that's neither here nor there sdiughsduihgs)

I don't expect any responses, but I am curious if there's perhaps a bit of interest over here! Seeing as twitter's a bit of a dry wasteland for me unfortunately. Maybe if I made a google form people would interact with it...

I was trying to look for a good aphmau character quiz that satiated my (autistic) needs properly, but nothing I could find really scratched the in-depth itch I was looking for. So I made one myself! Update on AphWiki

gonna give a quick little update: I'm still working on the site! However finical restraints are showing again so it's going to be a bit on the slow end regarding actual development as I'm doing school.

I wish I could do this faster but I'm self-learning web development and it's taking a good amount of time. On top of doing college, and I have basically no money.

Fanfic writing help

I'm struggling to write my fanfic chapter right now (especially since I'm streched for time since starting Fall Semester), mostly trying to get the characters "right"- it's fanfiction so you always run the risk of OOC but for some reason nothing I've been righting has felt good.

Below are possible spoilers for my fic, Omen of a Half Blind Raven so heed this warning

For some reason I've been struggling trying to articulate how Laurance is feeling using words. Like, I have the idea in my head but when it comes to actually writing it? Nothing.

Like, I know what I'm trying to convey. The adreline of a serious war battle is dying down and the situation that they are in is dreadful. Understanding where they are is foriegn territory, with a serious threat that is seperated only by a flimsy plywood door. At the same time, trying to keep Travis calm and collected because both of them can't afford being driven by emotions.

Maybe I'm stuck since my chapter was...rough. I spent a while trying to get it right but at the end of the day Chapter 3 was still clunkly despite my best efforts, and considering there's alot more talking in Chapter 4 I've been trying to figure out how everyone is feeling and talking.

Does anyone have any good recommendations of fanfics with what you would consider good dialouge or articulation? Still trying to feel out everything and I'm hoping I could get some help with this. Or just any general tips?
