I hate Filbrick Pines so much man. I hate that man. I hate him. I more than strongly despise his silly sunglasses indoor wearing ass. I blame him for the terrible state of every character’s lives in one way or another. Whenever something mildly inconvenient happens in my actual life I scowl and imagine kicking Filbrick Pines in the nuts and snapping his sunglasses in front of his old man face. Caryn, the angel she is, deserved a better husband than that boring as hell man. Stanford deserved a better dad, someone who didn’t put so much pressure on him that he amounted his worth as a person to his success leading him straight into the arms of a *demon* just to feel like he’s accomplishing something. And by Jove don’t get me started on how much better Stanley deserved than that evil man in his life! He didn’t even see him after 17 and yet! AND YET!!!! I’m so glad we know next to nothing about Shermie because he would only be another character that Filbrick probably directly fucked over for me to think about and idk how much hatred I got left in me. He’s the worst ever. Thank god he’s not real.

Yea he's evil. But that could be a major coping mechanism for what he did, people will see him as a monster anyways, so why shouldn't he ACT as such? He doesn't feel bad at all! sure! Possibly repressing his emotions, as the axolotl said "misses home but can return." Why WOULDN'T he lean into the sadistic act, he done it for years, and it morphed his actual personality.

Ford, the perfect nerd who has "the ego of kings", it is possible his father is the reason he feels like he needs to be the SMART one, it's what is expected of him, he can't handle being wrong because that's how he was raised.

Stan is the opposite, he's not dumb, he fixed the portal after all, but he was raised being treated as such, the "copy", this could've had a really big impact on who he grew up as, had he been treated similar to his brother, would he have been a different person?
