So, I escaped my abuser.

I know I'm not very active here on tumblr but here goes.

I'm a queer disabled artist rebuilding my life after escaping an abusive home. I really need support now more than ever while I get my feet under me.

About two weeks ago, I had to flee my abusive home situation. It had been degrading over the last 10 years, and finally reached a breaking point. A lot of my belongings were destroyed, damaged, or had to be left behind.

After a very scary and uncertain week of homelessness (a combination of couches and a hotel thanks to the kindness of friends), I have ended up in New York. Which is wild?? To me?? Both my cat and I are safe, and ultimately this is for the better.

However, since I moved states, I also lost all of my state support; food stamps, health insurance, therapy, job, everything. I'm starting over completely from scratch with no buffer, for the first time ever. Like, my first time ever living away from home and it's Like This.

I'm incredibly heartbroken, overwhelmed and exhausted. This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I'm actively looking for work, and hoping to get back to commissions again if I'm able, but until then I'm asking for help.

ANY amount or ANY support from anyone would be so huge. Even just $5 here or there is something. I don't really know how to organize these kinds of campaigns, so I'm just putting all this out there as honestly as I can. If you can't donate, please please repost, share with your friends, etc.

I'm not sure how to end this but if you've read up to this point, thank you. Ironically this experience has filled me with more will to live than I've had in a long time, haha. I want to finally live my life, starting now.

More about my au (still trying to make it better, this is not cannon connected, this is completely different from my au where it's cannon connected)

TW: mentions of violence, abuse (a tad bit), slight suggestive sadistic habits. Tell me if I missed anything.

Corvin may have a big moral compass, but there are moments when she gets thrilled out from offing someone. Adeline likes to watch from a tad bit far away, she likes Corvin in red, specifically crimson blood red.

Corvin likes to be covered in red because it makes Adeline happy and makes her feel an adrenaline rush.

Corvin has nightmares, Adeline has to cuddle her or else she won't sleep, Adeline went on a long (nine days) business trip once and came back to find Corvin running off of sheer willpower and coffee.

Adeline didn't blame Avis for her mom's death, she knew her mom dug her own grave when she started to experiment and play with life, only to mistreat it and expect loyalty.

Adeline is a firm believer that loyalty is earned, not engineered, she also thinks playing with life is like trading your own. She only worked for Soyona because Soyona treats her like a daughter and Adeline gets nostalgic.

Adeline has some scars from complications during transporting dinos and surviving amongst dino smugglers (Corvin is scarred all over, but the only noticeable is the one on her face from when she got in a fight the other experiments).

Avis was made in case Corvin didn't survive, but was put down due to her aggressive nature and constant killer drive.

Avis and Corvin were beaten a lot because they were violent with the scientists experimenting on them.

Corvin likes hanging out with the Atrociraptor pack, she sometimes brings Adeline with her.

Adeline hates her step dad for abandoning her, she vents to Corvin about it whenever she has a dream about it (Corvin may or may not have hunted him down and fed them to the leucistic baryonyx, I call her Lucy).

Remaking my jwct oc au because I didn't like the first one

Basically Corvin and Adeline, except they're healthier.

Adeline is no longer Soyona's adopted daughter, I don't know how I came to think of that, but Soyona having a daughter didn't really sit right with me, instead she works for Soyona and sees Soyona as a mother figure, Adeline lost her bio mom to some dinos and her (step) dad is a dead beat and doesn't really know where he is, her biological dad is unknown, Corvin is still the handler's daughter except Corvin was made as an experiment of whether babies can be made in those tube things, Avis too, also they have a very itty bitty bit of Atrociraptor DNA, they were born in 2002 haven't decided on which month yet, but Corvin and Avis were born in the winter and fall months, Adeline was born in 2003 around spring.

Corvin is more detached here, being raised as an experiment and all, like the indominus, she was raised in captivity, the only clear relationship she has is with the handler since she raised her and she sees the scientists as enemies or threats to her life, Avis is a ray of sunshine, until you hurt Corvin and only then is Avis going full speed murder, she died because of that, the scientists think she was too aggressive to be kept around so they shot her when she was around 19-20, Corvin didn't immediately react, she made them think she was compliant and obedient, only to feed them to their own creations once they let their guard down.

Adeline meets Corvin and Avis, but only as kids because Adeline's mom was one of the scientists that helped make them, Corvin has an attachment to her because she was the only person other than Avis and the handler to look at her like a normal being (And Corvin might also be the reason Adeline's bio mom is dead, but I think I'll change it to Avis's aggressive nature accidentally killing Adeline's mom and until more deaths from Avis occurred only then did the scientists put her down).

They're both healthier than my original concept of them, they're both sadistic, just on different levels, Adeline gets a thrill seeing horrible people suffer and get what they deserve, while Corvin gets the thrill of being the one to give those people what they deserve.

They met again when they both started working for Soyona, Corvin as a handler and Adeline as Soyona's right hand woman, (this au is where Brooklynn doesn't leave the broker and starts to get attached since the broker did all that stuff for her so she just stays) the handler is alive too, Soyona privately asks if she killed that dude she wasn't supposed to and the handler clarifies she didn't, Soyona this time only wanted to sell the Atrociraptors when they hurt Adeline on accident, she gets talked out of it by Brooklynn and Adeline so that the handler doesn't go against her.

Corvin looks up to the handler, but is kinda skeptical about the handler's strategies when hunting the nublar five, she felt as if there was something wrong, but she just didn't want to ask the handler or bother her about it, they both share some physical traits, but Corvin has a bigger moral compass, she won't immediately kill someone without reason, but she will because it's her defense mechanism.

Regarding the beach episode with Soyona and the handler that we weren't given, would the handler need a heck lot of sunscreen? Cause I know her pale skin isn't tolerating the sun, the woman is seen only at night and /or dark places (the only time she wasn't was episode ten of season three, but that scene didn't exist to me) I mean, if they do go to a beach, would the handler stay in the shade or just apply a heck ton of sunscreen?

Waiting for the day someone makes a sick fic between the handler and Soyona where the handler is too sick to train the Atrociraptors and Soyona helps her out (and Brooklynn's there too as a bonus, it's still cool if she's not there) wish I knew someone and wasn't a coward about approaching them.

Was it casual when The Handler's grip on her whistle lessened when she saw Soyona was the one who stopped her and didn't immediately pull her hand away, she just let her hold her hand?

Was it casual when The Handler kept her eyes on Soyona even as they walked away? Not on Brooklynn, nuh uh, SOYONA.

That's all I can think of, this is based on my memory guys, don't rely on me for it.

Y'all a question has been bugging me, how rich is the handler or at least what's her financial status? There's no way Soyona's always paying for the handler's Atrociraptors, like their food and stuff, where does the handler even stay? Surely she doesn't live in her truck thingy, and what does she do on her day offs or if she even has day offs.

(Making a fic, this is definitely gonna be boring, but it's about Corvin's life and how it came to be like this)

Life in the eyes of Corvin

1st person/Corvin's pov:

How did I get here? I'm not sure, I don't remember much of my life, all I know is that neither of my parents wanted me, the only people who loved me are dead and I'm questioning whether or not my boss hates me or likes me. I wasn't raised like any other normal kid, I was raised raining the second I understood my surroundings, I don't have any friends, I was never approached by anyone at school, they look at me weird, I don't know why they do that, some students call me names, I don't think they know my real name, but that's fine. Looking back I didn't actually live life, I was surviving it, one wrong move and my father would go off, he always was about presentations and status, my mother never did much, I think she loved me at least, but father says she left because of me, I was sent away, no one knew I was his kid or my mother's, just that I was their weird 'niece', I like my new mom, she doesn't talk much, but she cares, my twin doesn't tell me whenever something's wrong, until I found her note about going into the forest, wanting to get away, I found her, or, at least what remained of her...

My job requires a lot of exercise, my boss is a pain, it's okay though, she lets me keep my raptors and she pays me. She sometimes takes me somewhere to do stuff, I never question it, her mom looks at me weird as if I did something to hurt her. I think she hates me. I was training one night when my boss called me, she wanted me to take DNA samples of dinosaurs from Isla Sorna. I ended up with some marks.

Adding more stuff to my jwct AU

I had this thought that Soyona has a daughter to bail her out or continue her operations just in case, I was thinking of random names that would fit and ended up with Adeline, so if going by the canon of jwct, Avis wouldn't have gotten the job as the new handler, assuming Avis dies war earlier to better fit the timeline events of Corvin's life, this time Corvin does become the handler and an even worse life, because by doing this, instead of being able to grieve properly, she would work as a way to cope, ignoring the fact she lost three family members (the Atrociraptors are part of their family, there's no changing my mind about that).

Corvin now works under Adeline, they have a weird relationship because Corvin reminds Adeline of the handler (I'm not calling the handler by my hc name for her in this connected to canon au, since I want this to actually better fit the canon, or at least close enough to the canon without taking away important parts) Adeline treats Corvin like any other employee except actively sends her to dangerous situations that subtly screams "Go away already!", I want them to have a situationship, I just don't know how to execute it into the AU, I think Corvin would try to tolerate it, or at least be neutral with it, but think about it makes me think it just won't work out, since I want Corvin to have some character development from antagonist to morally grey character to protagonist or at least stay as a character with bad actions with good intent.

I hc Soyona has a painting of the handler in her penthouse, and a whistle like the handler's, she just doesn't use it because it doesn't match her style and can't be hidden into her jewelry like the laser thingy.

I hc the handler has a really pretty smile that she showed to (literally anyone you want to) so that no one will believe them. I hc Soyona knows, she just pretends she doesn't believe it.

I also wanted to add that Soyona's laser thingy is on her left hand too, so the arm Brooklynn lost is the arm the handler is always kinda in pain in and is also the arm where Soyona has control (aka the laser thingy to command the Atrociraptors) just thought that these three parallels are really cool

!Spoilers Warning! Spoilers for those who haven't watched jwct.

I just realized in both final episodes of ss1 and 3 of jwct, the handler is clutching her left arm, the arm Brooklynn is missing, and in the final episodes, she backs down to allow her raptors to retreat/be safe, in the season one episode 10 she chooses to not attack the nublar six when she saw how tired her raptors are, meanwhile on episode ten of ss3 she sacrifices herself for them to be safe, they all parallel somewhat, I mentioned Brooklynn because she always clutches her left arm at the sight of the handler, in which, the handler's left shoulder is the one Red bites, giving more emphasis with what Soyona said, "time to even the score", I'm probably just rambling, but it's a little fun to think about, that the arm Brooklynn lost is the same arm the handler always seems to be clutching.

I gave them a new design.

Not sure if this is final though.

I have these two OCs that are twins, they're the niece of the handler (technically daughters cause she adopted them after their parents dropped the responsibility of them on her) and they help feed the Atrociraptors, clean them and etc. So when the handler dies, one of them, the younger, Avis, (I have this AU where Soyona goes to jail many many many years after) joins Soyona pretending to be the older twin, Corvin, in order to get information about their mom's death and life beyond their own little world, and finds out a lot, which later on becomes a problem and is end up shot, which Corvin finds out and tries to save her (note they're identical twins and kinda look like the handler, except without freckles, has eyebrows and medium hair length and facial scars from spending time with the Atrociraptors), Avis dies due to blood loss and Corvin, the mostly nonverbal one, takes her whistle, (all three of them have whistles, the handler has a silver one, Avis has a blue one and Corvin has a black one) Corvin is then hired by Soyona as her new handler to continue her whole operation. Corvin, while the twin of Avis, is almost nonverbal, she's like the handler somewhat, she mainly whispers or mutters stuff when needed and when not, she's quiet like the handler, (I have this fun headcannon that a company that Soyona works with copied the indoraptor and Scorpios rex and she's then given the eggs to raise, train and turn into assassins, she gets attached to them because the handler surrounded them with dinosaurs aka Atrociraptors and likely they'll have fondness over dinos as well) while she's like a mini handler, she's far from being like the handler, she's like a dormant volcano, heating and boiling until it explodes and at one point will lash out, (had happened once, but it was grief not anger because she lost three family members in a row, that's really rough) then she ends up teaming with the nublar six, using them to get information (they're kinda friends kinda not, more like a I give you info, you give me info trope) and her presence, while intimidating, is not close to the handler's, the handler's presence is this scary/dark and thriller trope, while she's more dark/false hope and kinda murdery trope. Back to Avis, she wears glasses, that's the only physical way you can differentiate between her and Corvin, she is the most verbal out of the three, gives off looks like could kill you, is a cinnamon roll vibes, I made them in gl2 because I can't draw.

This is only a concept design, I'm not sure if I'll change them.
