AnthrOhio Events Presents
Columbus Fursuit Walk
Greetings furry friends! It’s time again for The Columbus Fursuit Walk. If you are new to the walk, it’s about 1.5 miles and can be about a 2 hour walk. This event may possibly some risk for amateur suiters, especially if it is hot out. Be sure to bring some water to help stay safe and if you are concerned at all, bring your own handler to keep an eye on you. That being said, he are the details of our May walk.
Saturday, May 6, 2017
5:00 pm – Meet & Eat at North Market. If you join us inside for our meet, we ask that you support the local businesses inside the North Market. For your safety and the safety of the other guests, please NO costumes inside. 6:30 PM – Group Photo & Walk. Since everyone will be in suit and waiting to start the walk, we ask if you want to be included in the group photo you are in suit and ready before 6:30. Sorry, but we can’t wait on late comers. Once te photos are taken, we will begin our walk North up High St. Rout – We will walk North up High St until we reach Axis Night Club. We will rest in their lot so those that need to can pop their heads and cool off or drink some water can do so. After a short break we will cross High St at Hubbard and head back South down High St. until we make our way back to Vibe St to conclude our walk. Parking – Preferred parking is at the Vine St. garage, however this is the main Convention Center garage and prices can be as high as $15 to park. There is the Nationwide garage on Front St which is a short walk away from North Market. Surface parking may be available, but is often scarce in the area. Safety – We expect all of our guests to be on their best behavior during our events. That being said, you will be exposed to the general public, some of whom may be intoxicated. We encourage everyone to be aware of your surroundings and to help keep each other stay safe. Attendance is at will and at your own risk. Neither AnthrOhio or its staff can be held responsible for injury or damage. Many Thanks, AJ Firewolf AnthrOhio Events

Columbus Fursuit Walk
We would like to thank everyone who came out to the Columbus Fursuit Walk. We would also like to extend our sincerest apologies for the confusion that took place. Due to the high level of traffic and security in place because of the Arnold Classic anyone in costume was asked to leave the property. It's important to know that the operators of North Market have a responsibility to keep their business and their customers safe. In the rush of the evening and the confusion of seeing a large number of people dressed in costume they decided it was best for us to leave. Given the circumstances of the evening it was a reasonable request. Going forward we have to ask that those of you in costume refrain from entering North Market so we don’t have the same issues in the future. We appreciate everyones patience and understanding. If you have any questions you can direct them to [email protected]

Issue with Mobile Registration
We are aware of an issue with our members trying to register for the AnthrOhio hotel using mobile devices. At this time the mobile registration process does not allow you to enter the AnthrOhio group code. This means you will not receive our room block discount for the convention. To get around this please register for your room from a desktop browser or by contacting the hotel directly. If you have already registered via the mobile page we recommend contacting the hotel to have your reservation updated as soon as possible. Remember, the convention is May 25-28! The code is viable for reservations on Thursday night through Monday morning.

Annual AnthrOhio Picnic
Join us Saturday Sept 3rd, 2016 for our annual AnthrOhio Picnic at Sharon Woods Metro Park. This is a potluck style picnic from 10 AM to 4 PM so bring your favorite snacks or casserole to share with the group. We will be grilling up hot dogs and burgers as well. This is a free event for anyone to attend so just bring yourselves, bring your friends and bring something tasty to eat if you can. This is a public park, however, so please do not bring alcohol.
We will be spending the day hanging out, eating and playing games. Bring your fursuit if you have one, but if not come as you are. Along with fursuiting and exploring the park some games available will be badminton, ladderball, croquet and volleyball. Feel free to bring you own outdoor activities to share as well. So that we can plan ahead and be ready for the event please RSVP to [email protected]
If you have joined us in the past we are planning to use the same Pin Oak Program Area as we have used in the past. If this is your first time, have a look at the map linked below to find your way. However it’s easy to get to by taking a series of right turns when you come into the park.
Please note, we can provide Boca Burgers on request. Please let us know in your RSVP if you would like them.
Here's a recap of the details: Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 2016 Time: 10am - 4pm Cost: FREE! (Potluck contributions gratefully accepted) Location: Sharon Woods Metropark Address: 6911 Cleveland Avenue, Westerville, OH 43081 (on the north end of Columbus) Fursuits Allowed?
