Oda's message about Akira Toriyama paassing away.

"It is too early. The hole is too big. Sadness washes over me when I think that I will never see him again. I have admired him so much since I was a child.

I remember the day he called me by name for the first time, the day you used the word "friend" for me and Kishimoto, I remember being overjoyed with Kishimoto on the way back home. I also remember the last conversation we had.

He was one of those who took the baton from the days when reading manga made you a fool, and created an era when both adults and children could enjoy reading manga. He showed us the dream that manga can go global. It was like watching a hero going forward. For not only manga artists but also the creators in various industries, the excitement and emotion of the time of Dragon Ball serialization must have taken root in their childhood. His existence is like a big tree.

For the manga artists of our generation who stood on the same stage, the closer I got to Toriyama's works, the more I realised that they had a greater presence. Scary. But I am just happy to see the easy-going man himself again. Because we love Toriyama-sensei on a blood level. With respect and gratitude for the creative world he has left behind, I pray for his soulful rest in peace.

Kledinger but magic swap/theme swap idea

Something yada yada both of them get caught in a magic mishap and Heim gets the Noxian vibes while Kled has the piltover tech look. Neither of them changed personalities for say, just vibes

hmmmmm this is tricky

ive never really thought of how kled and heimerdinger would look if you were to swap their origin cities but if i could this is what id imagine

kled, now a hextech engineer instead of a old war veteran, would look much more well kept. i think he’d lose the hat and groom his fur back, like a mullet. maybe cut his hair shorter because its way long in the back. he’d probably wear some kind of covering on his right eye with little piltover trademark embezzlements on it, kinda playing into the overall vibe of “clean” that piltover exudes on the surface. considering the personality of a piltover kled, i think he’d still retain some of his brash and arrogant personality, although instead of the feeling of an enraged hillbilly, it would come from the point of view of a disgruntled and troubled old man, one who is wise but lacks peace. i think he’d be easily irked, but never lash out like he used to; i think instead of trying to pick a fight, he would go into defensive mode and try and protect his background and his self-worth (even when it’s not being threatened). i can’t exactly describe this look that i crafted for him is, but do with it what you will

as for heimerdinger, he’s part of noxus, and that should reflect in his outfit. heimerdinger’s giant friggin head of hair would probably be cut shorter and then tied and slicked into a bun. his skin under his fur is probably really really pale…… anyways he’d wear a dark grey-brown hood with platings built into it + he wears armor on his sleeves, and then a long loincloth that sits on his shoulders and a pair of shorts. i also imagine that instead of using turrets and waiting for people to fight him, he would instead play both defensive and offensive and carry a GIANT METAL RIOT SHIELD

don’t worry, i imagine in a world of noxian heimerdinger he would be much more physically built, i guess enough to hull around a giant sheet of metal. but who cares in his pool party skin he’s chiseled

i think he’d still be a little kind hearted with tougher skin, but gain a bit of a brutish undertone in his personality. he’d be a little less forgiving and lose a little less hope in everything and everyone (hope as in the hope that people have good intentions in their actions), but still have hope in mostly everything.

there’s probably something else i could’ve done for both of them but there’s what i think they’d look and act like if their regions were swapped! this was fun and also a big challenge for me?? i have never thought of piltover’s and noxus’ fashion and this was kind of like an exercise for designing said outfits

So I understand all of these (french horn, accordion and violin are all notoriously hard to learn and I can see him taking the time to show off that knowledge)...

BUT

My vote's on piano.

The biggest reason is because it is the instrument for teaching music theory. Ask anyone what instrument to learn first to understand music, and basically everyone will say the piano.

And Heimy, while also being a really intelligent scientist, is just as much known for being a teacher who gets students excited over the fundamentals of science. I can see him having a love for the instrument that does the same with music.

It's a classy instrument that while easy to learn, is hard to master. It's very versatile, able to do a variety of styles, and play as a stand-alone or as accompaniment to prop others up. Which I think fits him as a revered inventor that's also dedicated his life to helping others shine (or not when worries over magic/safety take over).

... also it's funny to picture his robot arm coming out of his hair for him to get the out-of-reach keys.

Hi I hope this doesn't sound too weird and out there but I recently stumbled across your Kledinger art while I was reminiscing about league and it literally brings me so much joy like. I'm insane. I don't play the game anymore for my sanity but Kled was my comfort character for that time in my life, and the way you draw him is just like... the best!!! the barbenheimer is currently my favorite :) Keep doing what you're doing bc it is great

I don't honestly play League that much either (basically an ARAM only enjoyer), but I still find myself in love with the world/characters and I'll find different ideas popping in my head while I'm working.

(Especially Kled n Heimer because cute funny ol peepaws)

me: haha nami sure is passionate about money!

internally: nami spent her whole childhood being poor and getting second-handed clothing and felt like she needed to steal the small things she wanted like a book because they only had a limited amount of money growing up with a young woman who suddenly had two daughters to take care of. and then it only worsened when arlong came and killed bellemere for only just having enough money to keep her two daughters alive but not herself. also this was done right in front of nami. then she got kidnapped by arlong and later struck a deal with him that if she collected 100 million, she could free her entire village from arlong's control and they won't have to struggle with money anymore and be free. she couldn't possibly work up 100 million on her own though, so she had to resort to stealing from pirates since she was a little girl and developed trust issues upon trust issues and a general hatred towards pirates not only for killing her mother and enslaving her island but seeing all the damage they wreck just from having to get close to others to rob them. every single cent she got she had to carefully stash away for her end goal of freeing her village. by the time we meet her in canon she is effectively rich but it's still not enough and she still needs more. just a bit more. and then her 8 years of blood sweat and tears gets stolen away right from beneath her nose and between it getting stolen and her sister getting shot over it, she had to choose to get her sister to safety and then she finds out her entire village knew she was trying to free them when she thought they all hated her for joining the very crew that was enslaving them and it turns out they were only pretending they didnt know about her deal because they didnt want her to feel burdened by their hopes if she wanted to run away from arlong because she was only one little girl and this whole situation was extremely unfair towards her and they just wanted her to be happy but now everything was taken from her and now they're so angry about it that they're gonna go and fight arlong even though she really doesn't want that but she cant stop them. so now not only has she lost all the money she had been saving up for her village, now her village is going to go and die for her because she does not have the money to save them

you have any ideas as to how kled could possibly work in a second season of arcane? maybe even a very very slim chance of kledinger?? i dont know if you still respond to asks but theres my question 👍

Ok so... Kled appearing is a slim chance, but he's actually got better odds than most the roster due to Noxus being introduced (and the theme of "war" for season 2).

I see him most likely appearing as a background character in something like a cut away to Noxus. Maybe Ambessa served in battle alongside him? It would be cool worldbuilding for Arcane to show yordles exist in other regions and that they aren't all sweet and passive like Heimerdinger.

OK NOW WITH THE REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS OUTTA THE WAY

I already think Kled would be a pretty different character in Arcane, much like how Heimer's character focused less on the goofy inventor side and more on his mentor side. Kled wouldn't have the silly Yosemite Sam antics, and I think they'd instead focus on him being a bitter immortal war veteran. He could be an actual part of the Noxian military that is brought into Piltover/Zaun with other Noxian champs. Maybe somewhere Skaarl runs after one of the little firelights and he winds up running into, y'know, the Firelights.

He'd still be crass and with a hefty disdain for authority. I could see him chastising Heim for getting kicked out the Council, even encouraging a cynical view on mortals. ("See what good believing in people did ya?")

And it could be an opportunity for Heimer to showcase his growth in really valuing the precious time of mortal lives, against another immortal who has gotten very desensitized to death. Or how Kled is very hardened through his experiences and finds war an inevitable outcome, while Heimer holds onto hope.

Ok maybe that doesn't sound that Kledinger, but I always see them as a slow burn, and definitely so in Arcane. (Unless they knew each other before? Centuries old slow burn?) They wouldn't get along at all at first, but they would worm their way into each other's heads... before they make their way into each other's hearts. :3c
