Sick with a chest cold, have been taking cough syrup for three days and it hasn't been working much, I just ordered vaporub and honey to see if it'll help, wish me luck

character A has been stuck on the couch all afternoon. this is the nastiest cold they’ve ever had, and unfortunately, they get to spend it looking like a sick mess in front of their partner. character B is carding their fingers through A’s disheveled hair when the sound of stuttering, wheezy, sharp inhales catches their attention.

a sopping wet sneeze forces its way out of A’s suffering nose. the snot tethers itself to A’s nose and sleeve. based on the gurgling sound alone, the wide eyed flustered panic on A’s face, and the fact that they don’t move a muscle after, B knows it probably made a whole puddle of germs, too much to sniffle and snort back up.

“oh, jesus, that sounded like a mess.” they wince, patting A’s back. “you need a tissue, sweet thing?”

A stays frozen, but quickly accepts the offer, holding out their free hand expecting the whole box. “fugck.. sdnffffk! i ndeed tissues. plural.”

Caitlyn Rambles:

- Caitlyn absolutely uses handkerchiefs that have her little family emblem embroided on them because she thinks its “proper”

- She will stifle at every given occasion because she doesn’t want to be considered rude but she’ll 100% chastise Vi for doing the same because she knows it bad for her

- When she actually lets them out, her sneezes are usually loud but still clearly feminine? (She made Vi jump the first time she heard her)

- SMALL LIL SNIFFLES <3

- She 100% uses her knuckles to rub at her nose when she thinks nobody is looking

- Doesn’t get sick often but she will try and ignore it completely and work through it until someone (Vi) will force her to go lay down

- Her voice is usually the first sign she isn’t feeling well, and she’ll usually lose it after due to how much she had to talk/yell at work

- I wouldn’t say she has allergies but she’s sensitive to stronger scents. Vi’s shampoo used to set her off until she changed it (because of course she did the second she found out)

currently 1h35 (am) and I can't sleep because of the coughing... I'm considering ordering cough syrup but I don't think there are drugstores open now

hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to sneeze this congestion out. my sinuses are so congested it feels like concrete and it's giving me awful headaches, and I keep getting false starts but never sneezing

I might buy decongestants tomorrow, by now I'm trying to get by with the lemon/honey/star anise/clover syrup I made and tiger balm my cousin brought from when she went to Thailand

I've had an awful sinus headache all day long and had to leave class early for feeling so bad. After a two-hour nap (I never take naps) I decided to induce again to see if I can clear my sinuses

might be coming down with a cold and if I'm correct, it'll be brutal

I have four friends who had the same cold last week, I'm really touchy with one of them (I hug her all the time, rest my head on her shoulder etc etc) and went out for drinks, pool and cards with the other three (and 10 more people). I thought I'd be untouched by this one but apparently not

I already feel awful, but it's quite fun to knowbwhere I caught it

thanksgiving contagion

someone going to the store for last minute items, not realizing that the most popular thanksgiving items had been sneezed on by the terribly sick employee who restocked the shelf. the person turning down an aisle and hearing a horribly wet sneeze and looking to see the obviously sick employee there with mess dripping from their nose sneeze uncovered again, launching spray and snot all over. they leave the aisle before any sneeze mist could float their way. even though they avoided the sickly sneezes, they didnt avoid rubbing their nose after handling everything they didnt know was already contaminated by the contagious nose that couldnt get its shift covered.

getting on a plane for a thanksgiving trip and finding out theyre in a middle seat between 2 people both sick with monster colds. between the coughing and sneezing on both sides theyre surrounded by germs, breathing in nothing but contagious air the whole flight. they see a few sneezes in the air and can feel some spray hit their skin because theyre too close to not be hit when such a sick nose uncontrollably sneezes out its germs.

someone whos far too sick to be going to a thanskgiving party shows up with a red nose and pocket full of already wet tissues. they give out hugs promising they only caught the sniffles but as the day goes on everyone can tell theyre closer to the flu than the sniffles. they sneeze and cough constantly. the air around them is thick with germs from all the sneezing they dont cover and the coughs they let out as if they arent contagious. they chat with everyone, sniffling abd sneezing, and coughing when they laugh too hard. at the dinner table they cant get tissues out of their pocket and have to fill the host’s cloth napkin with messy sneezes. most of the time theyre too busy with the fork and knife and cant cover well. their plate and the table around thrm is littered with visible droplets. anyone who sat near them would catch that cold.

or even better. a host whos far too sick to have people over. everyone shows up and sees the host’s dripping red nose and fever flushed cheeks, greeted with congested hellos. the host cleaned up the house today so it looks wonderful, but its been sneezed liberally all over as they went from room to room. the whole place is contagious, especially since the host djdnt take any measures to cover up their soaking wet sneezes when theyre alone. it was like every breath taken in that house would be littered with germs. the meal looks and tastes amazing and everyone enjoys the food, not knowing the host was blowing and wiping their nose and coughing the whole time they cooked. and even worse that the pepper they used to season so many dishes made their cold filled nose sneeze so suddenly that the food was also seasoned by a dense shower of a germy sneeze cloud.

I think I'm getting sick again and now I'm wondering where did my immune system go because it's getting annoying

can't go a week without feeling fatigued, nausea and general pain and can't go a month without something that feels like a cold

might record a wav when I'm back at uni and not at my parents' house but I'm not sure I'll be well enough for it, my body hurts and feels like it weights 1000kg and I'll have to wake up at 4am tomorrow
