As the carriage ride stretched on, eventually the sounds of the city began to fade away. The squat brick lodgings turned into lines of trees and the dusty cobblestone became white gravel. Brimsley lifted his gaze from the floor. At the very heart of the grumbling city, a breath of air. He had of course seen St. James Palace before, nearly everyone in London had, but looking at it approaching now, with the promise of a very new kind of life on the horizon, the view was far more spectacular then it had been before. Brimsley could not help the swell of pride as he imagined this grand historic place to be his new home, and made the twentieth promise to himself that day that he would. get. this. job.

George is the only child of Princess Augusta... or is he?
When George was born, he was born with a twin brother. Unfortunately, they were separated at birth because the second twin was small and sickly, and almost certain to die which the throne could not allow. The twin was sent to a trusted family in the village to be raised separate, but he finds his way back. Upon recognizing her son still alive and well, Princess Augusta hires the boy to be a playmate (and future kings man) to her George.
The boys get on well, and even more so when they find out the truth. But when they get older things become even more difficult. George begins to have fits and Simon always ends up having to help him through them, despite his own problems with his sexuality arising. When they are twenty one years old, now both in happy relationships, there are riots across England, all calling for Georges execution. What will they do?
