In some ways, it wasn’t a surprise, if only because working for UNCLE never ceased to find new ways of surprising him. He’d come to expect the unexpected, as it were. Privately, he had to admit he kind of liked it. Kept him on his toes. Made life interesting. Ok, maybe the prospect of having a desk wasn’t actually making his life more interesting, per se, but it was definitely a change from the usual.
It turns out that there is one thing about moving to their new home base in New York that completely catches him off guard—one thing that most definitely makes his life more interesting in the most complicated way possible—and that is Illya Kuryakin’s impossibly tiny shorts.
(Or, UNCLE settles into their new headquarters, Illya wears short shorts, and Napoleon slowly loses his mind.)

For the Easter Egg challenge on the mfuwss livejournal. Gevr asked for an easter egg with Illya and Napoleon on Easter Island involving the monumental Easter Island Statues.
Let’s ignore the fact the Orthodox Easter and western Easter are at different times. I’m not sure which of the two this is supposed to be set during. Thanks to Wikipedia for the wonderful names for the days leading up to Easter. I couldn’t resist Spy Wednesday. Disclaimer: It is very hard to find out about Easter Island in the 1960s. It seems that the Americans donated a small hospital in the 70s. I don’t know if there was no hospital before that or not.
