Ok so you know how everyone in the charming family,(including Dexter), believed that he was gonna be the beast in beauty and the beast, right? So imagine younger Dexter and Rosabella having to spend time together because of their parents and both of them become best friends. I bet rosabella would help dexter with his low self-esteem, for example, Imagine younger dexter being upset because he needs glasses (since his annoying father thinks having glasses is “not perfect”) and younger Rosabella would help him feel better by saying they will look like twins when he wears them.

Okay actually here’s a more serious post about my experience with romance as an aromantic person.

So like after rewatching Jaiden’s video, I’m now realizing that I don’t view romance as like something that exists in the realm of reality…I mean I know it’s real! Obviously I’m aware that romance is a very real emotion that people experience. It just doesn’t feel real to me.

I like romance as a genre. I like watching romantic movies and reading romantic books (when they’re actually written well). I love shipping. Anyone on who’s been following my blog knows that I’m a very active shipper. I just really like pairing characters together and seeing how they would work if they were dating.

But that’s the thing, I like seeing OTHER people happy in a relationship whether it’s in reality or in fiction. I’m just so detached from it myself!

Like okay, maybe I can see myself having a platonic life partner in the future maybe. I’m fairly affectionate myself. I like giving hugs and cheek kisses and saying “I love you” to my friends and family. But anything romantic wise? I literally can’t picture myself in it. I just can’t. I’ve legit tried, but I’m just so “blah” about it like I just don’t care for it.

Romance is fun to think about. I like it…just as long as I’m not the one involved.
