kai does not outsing xiumin, he's improved a bit (although because his performances are so dance based, it relies vocally on heavy backtrack and at times lipsync), but u need to be realistic, he objectively is a better singer when it comes to skill, technique, and range, also suho is a better singer than xiumin but one thing I've noticed is he's regressed after doing those musicals in the sense that his vocal technique has generally improved but I find he's not as dynamic as he used to be, especially when it comes to adapting his voice for the genre, it's like he's constantly singing for musical theatre, very apparent in lee mujin service when he's trying to project especially, would be nice to see him relearn how to sing for pop, soft rock etc.

This is something I’ve been picking up for quite some time and every time I bring up to oomfs, they’re shocked to see so many overlaps. I have made tweets/threads on this before, but I want to compile it all here, in a public space.

Some of the things I present are more damning than others, but I still chose to include “lesser” serious cases of copying that could also be coincidental. I always advise you all to form your own opinions and do your own research.

V changing his representative emoji/animal to bear

I used to keep tabs on BTS, and when I knew the group, V was always referred to as a (baby) tiger 🐯 or alien/4D 👽. I don’t know when it started, but suddenly he changed his representative animal to bear, saying it symbolizes him. I understand that there are several idols that have bears as their representative animals, but Kai has been known as a bear since the beginning of his career and he has always incorporated it into his career. This just feels a little... interesting.

The fact that V's fans even argue about whether he was a tiger or a bear should tell you that this guy hasn't always been referred to as a bear.

Pink Tape

For his debut album, V sought out Min Heejin to creative direct his album. Not all that surprising given this man’s obsession with clout and NewJeans was trending at the time. Min Heejin used to be the creative director at SM and has closely worked with Kai for a good chunk of his career, but V himself claims that his inspiration came from f(x)’s Pink Tape. Fair enough! There's only one problem......

Kai is also in Pink Tape....

Layover v. Peaches

This is actually what made me even notice the strange overlaps between the two idols to begin with. When V fans were being mad at Taemin for copying Layover, I decided to take a closer look and I was surprised to find the album oddly familiar.

But the similarities between the two albums doesn’t stop there. V also released an MV with every song on his album... very Film : Kai.

Lastly, both of Layover and Peaches album have a song titled Blue. I think this is just coincidental, but this was also one of the things V fans were complaining about when Taemin released his album, since that oen also contained a song titled Blue. Looks like Kai has a lot of sons!!!

Unnatural affiliation with Bada Lee

Not that surprising that clout chaser V would jump at the first opportunity to befriend Bada Lee. With her SWF success and with Kai gone in the military, he saw an opportunity and took it.

I honestly wouldn't have thought anything of this if he was gearing up for a comeback, working with her or anything of the sorts. But no. Just seems like they got close. Good for them!

Lord knows how lenient I've been on that man. I've hardly ever brought up the fact that he's an alcoholic or the fact that he's still dabbling in ED culture at his BIG, geriatric age....

If Xiumin is as good as you think he is, where's the demand for him? He's rotting away in the INB basement because he was dumb enough to play the role of Baekhyun's fall guy, incentivized by material gain. Where's his second solo? Why doesn't Baekhyun ever interact with him (like he does with every other member), unless there's money to be made?

I've shown Xiumin 10 times more grace than I've shown Chen and Baekhyun, because I didn't want to believe that he was a bad person. I still don't fully believe it. But this man managed to spoil his seemingly spotless image over night by listening to Baekhyun's ill advice. Him and his little boyfriend are both clearly being alienated from the rest of the group, but you guys that claim to be his fans don't care. Baekhyun freely interacts with other members, but hardly interacts with XC. He has positioned himself as a bridge between both parties, making Xiumin (and Chen) look like they're the ones that aren't getting along with their members.

And you know damn well that Xiumin doesn't sing better than Suho or Kai. Brand New has been out for 2 years and hasn't reached 10 million views yet. You're trying to convince me this man is a more talented person than Suho and Kai? LOL. He cannot stand on his own two feet and he's practically good as done now that he's decided to feed the hand (SM) that feeds him.
