However, in modern world and different parts of the world, quite legal in some parts of the world, another way to raise fund is through crowdfunding.The crowdfunding platforms give entrepreneurs a single platform to build, showcase, and share their pitch resources open to the world. It definitely saves up their time and energies for quite obvious reasons. Interested parties might invest thousands in exchange for equity or might also contribute few bucks in exchange for first-run product or other rewards. The practice entails that enterprising individuals or firms fund new projects or ventures through contributions of large groups of people. While commonly it is conducted through online sites and mobile apps; however, it can also take the form of mail order, subscriptions, benefit events, and other methods. There are four most common types of crowdfunding: · Equity-based crowd funding · Reward-based crowdfunding · Debt-based crowdfunding (peer-to-peer lending) · Donation-based crowdfunding It is to be clarified that crowdfunding is not allowed in Pakistan and no company can raise funds through it as per SECP notofications. The whole procedure from filing of application to granting of registration certificate may take approximately 1.5 to 2 years in Pakistan. The process of registration comprises of several steps: 1. Trademark Clearance Search (that may be skipped, if you want to) 2. Filing Application 3. IPO issues Acknowledgement Receipt 4. IPO issues the Show Cause Notice (in case, the Office finds something similar or identical to your trademark in their register) 5. Response to the Show Cause Notice 6. Presentation before the Registrar (in case, show cause notice has been served upon the applicant) 7. IPO publishes the trademark in public Journal (in case, the Application has been accepted for the publication, otherwise Application would be declined at the 6th step) 8. Opposition may be filed against you 9. Responses against opposition 10. Presentation before the Tribunal 11. Acceptance for the registration 12. Payment of final fee The laws and the rules for registering a trademark are governed by the laws of the country in which the application is made, which may differ from country to country. After a very very long time I started reading this chicklit when I was on a short vacation, an amazing read! The novel revolves around Ellie who is really passionate about making her new business a success; she had a chance to run a teashop in a remote castle, a dream she was living since her girlhood. The most inspiring thing about her was that she didn't come from the industry, but wasn't afraid and remained determined to prove to everyone that she could succeed. We all could relate to her, and maybe some of you are on the verge to shelf the yummy donuts and about to open doors to customers! WOW! But… wait… just a sec… have you done your homework in a proper manner? Food Licenses? NOPE? … No! No! Let’s discuss it.
