“About us getting along.. Something like that.” Marshall comments with a nod. “It’s pretty for a robin’s egg. Otherwise.. it’s childish.” He gave a pointed look to the other, the pout following suit. “I really hope you’ve got some part of you that isn’t a total push over.”
“I’m not sure if I even like you yet, I only just met you after all,” he pointed out. “Well then call me childish, I enjoy it, it’s a freeing color,” he shrugged, looking away at his next comment. “I think you’ve pegged me wrong, I’m shy, maybe a bit childish, but I’m not a pushover,” he began to move down the road a bit. “You still want to see the town?”

“Impossible because a fae just lied to me.” He shook his head right away. “See- that’s lying, darling.” The shy boy might not have snagged him right away, but he was trying. Whether he knew it or not. “I vote a neutral beige or grey instead.”
“And what did I lie about?” He questioned raising an eyebrow. “Those are such bland colors, it’s blue like the sky, I think it’s pretty, such hatred,” he pouted, feigning offense.

“You’re a horrible liar.” Marshall comments in a softer, more serious tone again. “I’ll take it back being gaudy if you paint it a different color or survive 3 days. Which ever comes first.”
“Fae can’t lie!” He tsked, giving a laugh. “We just get away with avoiding the truth,” looking down again he shrugged. “I think you’ll be taking it back, I feel healthy, three days will be a piece of cake,” he shrugged.

“Not as boring. How lovely.” Marshall comments in a mocking tone, rolling his eyes slightly. “Oh then we wouldn’t really get along. Though I guess I’m more for dramatic gentures than actual drama. Anymore at least.” It used to be flipped, but that was for another time. “Ah bugger.. I’ll have to wait to see if you start losing the wind in your sails, then.”
Ford grinned a bit at the mocking tone, looking back to the male. “Really, such a shame,” he murmured, biting his lip as he kept hit blue eyes on the male. “Dramatic gestures are more tolerable,” he mused, giving a soft chuckle. “Is that you taking me up on my offer of staying with me? I’ll only allow it if you take back your comment on it being gaudy,” he muttered. “It has character.”

“I’m not bland, but you? The shy meek types normally don’t snag me.” Marshall admits bluntly with a one shoulder shrug. “Sounds like some fake drama used for story.” It sounded strange, so of course he’d relate it to story. His colder exterior melted ever so slightly as the other’s blush continued to grow. “I might- but have you been eating their supply/?” The vampire quizzes softly as his eyes narrow slightly. “Cleanest air. Sure. So- air fae or earth?”
“Wasn’t trying to snag, as you put it, just stating you aren’t as boring as most,” he muttered, looking away a bit. “She had a flare for dramatics,” he shrugged. “Why I wasn’t into her,” he looked back pursing his lips. “I guess I have, I won’t be much good to you after all, sorry,” he shrugged a bit. “I don’t feel unhealthy though, just how I should,” he smirked. “Air in a sense, I’m a wind fae, trees are my friend.”

marshall-chamberlain:
“Yet here I am forcing this conversation and you’ve already invited me over.” A cocky look took over his face again. The more he gushed about the almost wedding the more Marshall gained. “‘You just traded.. Adorable. Well as one who fucks it all- your ew’s seem tragic.” Of course he was teasing. Until the bite comment. “I’m not too sure. It would be a delight- of that I’m sure. And unless you’re a plant here, you’d be a poison free source.” It was a solid fight for him. “I don’t trust this cookie-cutter tree house. How did you see that gaudy thing and go- “eh- yeah mate, I wanna live in that forever!”?”
“Maybe it’s not forced, it’s fairly easy to see conversation is flowing well, so there is some appeal for you, you’re not bland for certain,” he chuckled a bit looking down a blush gracing his cheeks. “It was more or less a trade, but she was scorned, so she married my brother, I think so she’d be around me more, I feel sorry for him,” he mused. “I wouldn’t say ew, just more so-- not my type,” he grinned peering back up to the vampire. “Oh--” his cheeks heated up more, he had fed a vampire before, a few came to his club and he got extra for a private dance and being the meal, it wasn’t something he would out right offer, especially to the male, but the way he put it had him nodding. “I mean-- if you need food, I don’t mind being a poison free source,” he whispered shyly. Licking his lips he looked down. “Hey! It’s not all that gaudy, and I picked it because the air is cleanest there, and keeps me healthy, besides, forever is a relative term for us.”

“I-I meant-um…” Drew decided he probably wasn’t going to get an answer to that particular question, but he didn’t want the conversation to be over because, despite being trapped in a secluded town, he hadn’t quite made many friends yet. “Pleasure or education?” He asked. He thought that surely someone carrying that many books must be on some kind of research mission.
“A bit of both I guess, you can never learn too much, and reading for pleasure has always been a hobby of mine, it’s a very comforting feeling to have a book in my hands,” he stated very easily. Books were an easy thing to trust, sure not all were good, but none never hurt you, at least for Ford.

ophelia-lange:
Ophelia let out another giggle as he laughed. “I wasn’t expecting to be hit.” She counters while finally meeting his eyes. “Well thanks, cutie.” The witch practically sings out in an almost too-happy tone before stumbling to her feet with his help. “So what makes you go swingin’ doors like that, huh? What’s the rush?”
“At least you can joke about such things, I fear of my fate if it were someone else,” he joked, hoisting her up slowly. “You’re welcome, love,” he murmured, keeping his hands on her to steady her till she got her footing. “A public building usually means people, I just wanted to get back to my house and solitude.”

“Sounds like you over think interactions too much.” Marshall says with a small shrug. “It’s really as simple as having something to go off of. Even forced conversation can start with a compliment- but we won’t get into how to speak right now. I’d rather hear about that almost marriage you had.” Though he did have a point about living with humans, more like out-living, but we wouldn’t talk about that. “I’ve gone a long time without blood, I shouldn’t be too bothered. Though I must say you smell rather amazing.. Where is your..’home’?”
“Maybe just most conversation is under-stimulating,” he pointed out, raising an eyebrow towards the male. “Forced conversation, anything forced is is not enjoyable-- what, no, nope, I left that back in nineteen thirty-two for a reason, she was very unappealing, not to my liking, I tend to go for guys, I didn’t try to judge, but it was hard we had nothing in common at all other than money, I tried to talk to her about my interests and she always blew me off. Her interests were always more important, it was, a very lacking relationship. I really tried, but I couldn’t do it, so she got with my brother instead,” he smirked. “And I slept with hers,” he chuckled remembering that most vividly. A small smile forming on his lips. “Don’t most fae?” He questioned. “Are you going to eat me?” he turned a bit, pointing towards the houses. For some reason he wasn’t in the slightest bit scared of Marshall, more enamored by the male. “The blue one with the trees, you are welcome to stay till you case out the place a bit more, but so far I am certain that there is no harm.”

“Wh-why’re you carrying seven books exactly?” Drew inquired and scratched his head as he chuckled at the impressively tall and handsome male.
“Uh-- six seemed like one to little,” he blinked a bit, tilting his head to the side. Scratching the back of his neck just a bit.

marshall-chamberlain:
“Anxious to strip? Then why do it?” Marshall asks simply. The face made a small scoff leave his lips and he shook his head for a moment to ignore it. “If it’s slow acting? I’d rather wait. I can survive a bit off blood I trust..” Did this fae really invite a thirsty vampire back to his place? “You have a place? You willingly settled down in a possible trap? And invited me back to it?”
“I’m not anxious on stage, because I really don’t have to-- talk to people, I just have to dance, engage a bit and then be on my way. Social interactions make me nervous a bit, like I never know what to talk about so I just awkwardly stare at people. It stems from years and years of arranged marriage meetings.” he shrugged. “And now, trying to live around humans, it always seem like the same thing over and over again, they are stuck within a small span of life that I’ve outlived-- I’ve seen things they haven’t, not even places, but events,” he shrugged looking away. “That makes sense, more power to you then, I hear thirst can be a strong thing,” he peered back to Marshall biting his lip. “It’s better than sleeping out in the open, traps in the open are far more dangerous, at least now I have the higher ground. Plus there were a lot of trees in the area I picked and it makes me feel-- healthy.”

Being slammed in the face with a door disoriented Andrew for a moment. When he finally snapped back into it, he rubbed the spot on his head where the heavy wood had made contact with it. “Yeah I’m good,” he said as he moved his hand from his forehead to his hair and quickly ran his fingers through it. “Maybe a mild concussion, but…okay.” He joked back at his assailant.
Ford’s face heated up seeing the male, swallowing thickly as he nodded giving a small noise of discomfort. Setting his books aside he moved to scratch the back of his neck. “S-Sorry, yeah good, I mean it’s good you’re good,” he nodded slowly. “Shit,” he laughed looking down just a bit. “I’m really sorry, I know I’m a good six feet but seven books really did block my vision, wasn’t smart on my part.”

✴︎ — Lydia’s family was majorly wind fae with the exception of Melisandre who’d been human. But Sher and Ana were as good as family. Austen and Sheridan had both met in school a few hundred years ago, when Sheridan had only actually been twenty, and the Rossettis had sort of just adopted the Wessels siblings into their family. “ They’re our friends but they’re also basically family members too ? ” Lydia shrugged. “ Sheridan is the biggest fucking buzzkill. All he does is drink and read and write confusing literature. ”
Ford chuckled just a bit looking at the girl, giving a small shake of his head. “Okay, it makes more sense, context is key, though I still don’t know who any of these people are, but we have never met, so,” he smiled softly, Ford was drawn to this girls eagerness of talking about her friends and family. Still though he would of liked to know more than just names of her friends and family to get an idea, it was almost a missing piece of the conversation. “See, you just described my little brother. My family are all literature buffs, my parents are both writers, and it spawned down to the kids, got seven siblings, I’m smack dab in the middle. We all love to read, but that’s Harrison for you, the youngest, he thinks he knows everything to literature and says hes’ going to be the next thing.”

✴︎ — Lydia laughed, shaking her head, “ in my house we’re all in agreement that one can never have too many books. Even if you can’t see over them, ” Lydia grinned. “ Although, if you had a bag, you could get even more books so that’s not a bad idea. ”
Ford gave a small chuckle, looking towards her. “That’s a rule I could live by, my old house had a library that was filled, I miss it a lot,” he nodded. “See, then they’d just think I’m insane, even though I could read through all of these in a matter of days, no one ever believes me.”

✴︎ — Lydia couldn’t remember a time when she wasn’t at least with Austen, although she spent the majority of her time with him and his kids - who were actual adults now. She still liked to think that they relied on her still despite them being hundreds of years old. As far as she was concerned, they’d always be the little kids they were in the mid-1300s. “ Yeah, ” Lyd nodded. “ Except for Sher and Ana. They’re water fae. Yeah - STARLIGHT|MOONSHINE, we’re a symphonic metal band, and we’re awesome and you should definitely listen to our stuff if you haven’t already. Well, we’re the most fun, no matter what Sheridan tells anyone. ”
Ford grew up in a family of Wind fae’s though it wasn’t uncommon for other fae to be born and have different powers than their parents, his small group was lucky in the fact they all turned out to be wind fae. It made family disputes a lot less hectic. Which was often. “Ahh, that must of been fun,” he smirked looked towards her. “I have no clue who they are, but I’ll take your word for it,” he smiled softly. “I’ll have to check you guys out, when we get out of here at least,” he nodded looking around again as he gave a small sigh. “Sheridan sounds like a buzzkill,” he murmured, giving her a small smile.

✴︎ — Lydia missed her brothers, and she couldn’t help but wonder why none of them had been brought here as well. She missed playing in Austen’s band, and she missed Austen. Lydia looked over at the man she’d sat beside. “ I keep forgetting that when I blow air around, not everyone can redirect it like my brothers. Although, at least no one here has thrown water at me like my brother’s friend does. ”
Ford couldn’t say he really missed anyone, he did his job and went home most times than not, he rarely remembered having friends, at least any that were considered long lasting since most everyone he knew were mortal. It had been a long time since he had been with his own kind that wasn’t family. “Ahh, air fae?” He nodded slowly looking away a bit. “And water fae? You have a band around you huh, most everyone that I knew were only wind fae,” he murmured looking back to her again.
