Tumblr media
Happy 1st of Women’s History Month & Venus day ❤️‍🔥
May this month bring you peace and prosperity!
If you aren't sure what Venus Day is, I made a recent post about the planetary energies each day holds.
Venus is commonly associated with themes such as : Love, Romance, Beauty, Self-Love, Relationships, Healing, Femininity, Intuition, etc.
It is also a day associated with the Greek Goddess Aphrodite--and many Venusian spirits. Venus holds a special place in my heart--especially for self-love, I even have a tattoo of the birth of Venus.
Along with that, I have honored Aphrodite as a goddess for self-love and healing self-worth for some time now.
She is splendid and has a wonderful and loving energy in my experience. If you enjoy the concept of working alongside goddesses, gods, spirits, etc, here is a little snippet from me about Lady Aphrodite🌹

|| GOLDEN APHRODITE || - redraw -
[Fanarts Masterlist] - [Instagram art account]
I drew a fanart of Aphrodite some years ago when I really started digital art, and I loved the design. Now that my skills are better, I wanted to redraw it and give her some upgrades!
Comparison just because I love it:
2020 VS 2023

🌹Morning prayer to Aphrodite🐚
Goddess Aphrodite, hear me
Goddess of love, and all things beautiful
You, who are as radiant as the morning sun
I call on you to answer my prayer.
Bless me with gifts of self love and confidence
Let me be filled with love for others and myself
May I find beauty in all things
May this day be warm with your embrace.
Bless me, and I will give myself to you
In devotion, offerings, and prayer
Bless my magic so it may be strong with your energy
I thank you, beautiful Goddess, lovely Goddess.
Praise be 🌹🐚

Aphrodite is the patron Goddess of sex workers. prostitutes were under Her protection, and they frequented Her temples. sex work is Aphrodite's ultimate profession, using beauty and attraction to make a living
Aphrodite loves sex workers, and sex workers are welcome on my worship blog. sex work is hard work, and a respectable profession. may all of you know that Aphrodite watches over you and loves you so much. may She bless you with prosperity and abundance 🕊️💕

Athena and Aphrodite shared the chalice
Discussing what matters moved mortalkind
Logos and pathos, the arrows within
In harmony the Goddesses agreed
Equal important were heart and mind.

“aphrodite is spiteful, she’s mean and evil!!”
let me tell you about aphrodite.
aphrodite is the reason i eat everyday. aphrodite checks to make sure i ate if she hasn’t heard me say my mealtime prayer to her. aphrodite is the reason i’m being gentler with myself and why i keep choosing recovery. she’s the voice in everyone’s head that says “no, maybe i didn’t deserve that.” she is the courage that makes women stand up to arrogant men and say “you’re wrong and i’m going to tell you why.” she is love. in all of its forms. she’s the fire that makes mothers go to war for their children, the connectedness of a friend group, and the sparkle in a lovers eye that makes you fall in love all over again. aphrodite is a wife, lover, friend, mother, sibling and protector. she is in all of us. she is with us, and we are with her.
and i’m so sorry that you fell for the violent misogyny, but guess what? it affects her too. you don’t think she’s been misrepresented and slandered? you don’t think people lie about her, drag her name through the mud?
people treat aphrodite the way they treat modern day women.
conform with everyone else’s bigotry if you want, but i for one (1), will love aphrodite as long as my heart will let me, and sing her praises until my lungs give out.
khaire golden aphrodite ✨💗🕊

Sapphomanteia (or ‘Sapphomancy’) is a divination system performed by casting dice to identify one of sixty-four possible number combinations, each referencing a fragment of Sappho’s lyrical poetry. This line of poetry can then be interpreted to answer the posed question, or as a guide to think over.
I have carefully selected sixty-four fragments from various translations of Sappho’s work – Diane Rayor, Anne Carson, Aaron Poochigan, and Mary Barnard. The end of each fragment is marked with its relevant reference number as per E. W. Voigt’s numbering system.
To perform Sapphomanteia:
Roll 3 four-sided dice (or roll one dice three times) and use the three digits rolled to reference the corresponding fragment in bold below.
(Online dice rollers here or here).
As with many forms of divination, you could say a prayer to Sappho or another god for guidance in your reading before you start.
