Whenever I think of Clay I get a huge feeling of just. Sadness over what could have been.

Anyways. Yeah he makes me so upset. I feel like his death didn’t hurt as much I would have liked, at least to me. When I was playing DD it only hurt because I, as a huge Apollo enjoyer, was sympathizing with him to hell and back. I was sad because of Apollo, and how Clay’s death impacted him, but not because of Clay himself.

And I think this is bc I just didn’t have the chance to get attached to Clay until AFTER I finished DD, and began to think of how much Clay’s death could have hurt MORE if I’d just been given the chance to become attached to him while playing the game. The only reason I’m mostly attached to him NOW is because of how I see his and Apollo’s dynamic, which is a ramble for another day, and due to reading a few fanfics with Clay in them, and how he was characterized. Also attached bc I think of all his missed potential like ALL THE TIME.

So now whenever I think of Clay I get incredibly SAD because of how badly Capcom fumbled the bag. It’s even WORSE WHEN I THINK OF SPIRIT OF JUSTICE, TOO. CAPCOM WHEN I GET YOU CAPCOM.

I should have learned not to write an entire assignment in one day the first time I wrote a new rough draft (like over 1k words I think) in one day. But nooo I wanted to get this last assignment done today so I could have winter break early. At least this didn’t require much research & it was way less words than my frantic newly written rough draft a few months ago for a different class..

I’m so cooked cus I was on vc with friends today and they mentioned something that was unrelated to AA to them but in my little hyperfixated BRAIN I immediately related it to AA.

All the dynamics in AA actually make me ill btw. Like wdym the WAA is a found family, wdym that Phoenix basically just collects children like Pokémon (that sounds AWFUL out of context 😭), WDYM THAT BLACKQUILL AND ATHENA ARE LIKE UNCLE AND NIECE TO ME. WHAT. DO. YOU. MEAN. THAT MIA AND MAYA ARE LIKE SIBLINGS TO PHOENIX IN MY HEAD AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT PEARL IS ALSO INCLUDED IN THAT IN A WAY. Dare I say. EMA AND PHOENIX UNCLE AND NIECE?!? I AM GNAWING AT THE BARS OF MY ENCLOSURE

Also Trucy and Apollo’s dynamic. Don’t even get me STARTED. They’re so special to me, and perfectly encapsulates the “energetic sort of shit head younger sibling and exhausted older sibling who just goes along with it” energy. AND TACK ON ATHENA WHILE YOURE AT JT TOO. I’m dead. Deceased. Passed away, ascending to a higher plane of existence.

And like. There’s so many more dynamics in AA that make me ill, idk if I could express them all without making this ramble too long. I gotta learn how to keep my writing like this brief 🤞🤞 (he says as he has a ONE PAGE MAX reflection essay due for one of their classes.)(this is their personal hell)(his ass CANNOT keep shit brief.)(I MEAN COME ON AT LEAST GIVE ME A PAGE AND A HALF.)

I constantly think of the design motifs between Edgeworth, Franziska, and Manfred so much it’s not even funny. I really really love when characters have design motifs to show that they’re connected, it’s genuinely so satisfying when it’s done right.

I’ve gone on this tangent like a billion times before but I seriously need to get it out there for the masses to see or else I’m going to explode if I have to keep screaming this to the same 5 people LMFAO.

Anyways, I LOVE the design motifs between Edgeworth, Franziska, and Manfred SO much. I really love how all 3 of them have a frilly thing around their neck (Manfred and Edgeworth having a Cravat, while Franziska a bow), additionally I loveeee the sprite similarities between the three. Edgeworth at his debut especially, he was very similar to Manfred (his outfit was basically the exact same to Manfred like).

It really emphasizes that they were Mentor and Mentee, “father” and “son”, and it just ?!? UGH I LOVE IT. Another thing that I noticed which could just be me reaching is something on Franziska when she was 13, I think, in AAI.

Instead of a bow like in her design when she’s older, what would usually a frilly thing around her neck to show ties to Manfred and Edgeworth is (I don’t know what to call it? Hopefully I get what I mean) instead something that’s like, not yet unfurled into either a cravat or the bow. And to ME it’s supposed to show how she has yet to bloom into a proper prosecutor, since she hasn’t earned her badge yet. While we play through the case where Edgeworth was supposed to debut in, and where he met Gumshoe for the first time, we see that she’s very naïve or at least very cocky and full of herself because of the fact that she’s related to Manfred von Karma, the perfect prosecutor. ALSO! I really love how she doesn’t have a full whip yet in that design/age either, further going to show that she’s literally just A Child and still has a lot of growing to do.

This probably isn’t anything a lot of people really care about when it comes to AA and I know I’m definitely NOT the first to point this out, but SHUT UP I don’t care I needed to get this out there it needed to leave my brain and reach people that actually care abt AA.

On another note, I may ramble about Dhurk and Clay and Apollo sometime and how mad I am at Capcom for what they pulled in both DD and SOJ. CAPCOM WHEN I CATCH YOU CAPCOM.

I’m currently hyperfixating on like 3 things rn. One of those being ace attorney and the other two being Pokémon (a common reoccurring hyperfixation) and DougDoug. As I’m writing this I’m actually watch DougDoug fun fact. I feel like im genuinely running out of DougDoug videos to watch I’m being serious 😭😭

Anywyas as for Ace Attorney the hyperfixation has been around for almost 3 months and it’s still going strong !!!! I’m currently on AAI, I was gonna play some today but DougDoug started streaming like before I got home and I didn’t wanna miss stream so I decided not to play AAI (I usually stream for like 2 hours or so, playing AA on stream has been rlly helping me with pacing myself.) I may still stream later tonight… but that kinda depends on how long Doug keeps streaming for

Speaking of DougDoug and Ace attorney, I had a massive hyperfixation cross over moment when I was watching a fan edited Doug video of one of his older streams, and I heard an AA OBEJECYION voice line as a dono alert and I was like “wait a minute who’s voice line is that” and at first I thought it was Apollo but I thought it was too smooth to be him, so I guessed Klavier and listened to his objection, and then back at the Doug clip, and I was right. I knew Doug probably liked AA in some capacity since one of his frequently played songs on stream is uhhh I think dual destinies pursuit theme, but yeah. Giggled over that for a little bit.

I also have a bit of AA fanart I might share, but it’s mostly just doodles and two of my sonas dressed as Apollo (one was for a thumbnail for my SOJ stream vods lmfao). But we will see, I’m not really super proud of the fanart tbh so I might not share them lol.

I’ve gotten so hyperfixated on Ace Attorney it’s actually all I can think about… like it’s SO BAD.

I could ramble on for AGES and just ?!?! RGRGGRGRTHRHH I’m so insane for these games actually. I’m currently playing SOJ, and I think next I’m gonna do AAI and then mayyyybeeeeee TGAA?? I dunno !!! I’d also like to play the pl vs pw game but I don’t have access to it unfortunately, I might have to watch someone play it 💔

I so badly wish I got into AA when I was younger but also, I think it’s better than I’m getting into it at a more mature age.

Anyways I’m off to disappear for a few months again
