Hey I made this to document the beautiful places my husband and our dogs and cat see around the country. Why are we on the road? Florida got hit with a hurricane that smashed everything around. The election ended the way it did and I had an opportunity to run away. For real this time. In Florida I struggled with a lot of different toxic patterns centered around drug and alcohol abuse. I quit drinking right before Halloween sometime and decided I needed to change my life. Or I was going to die in Tampa sad and fighting the same circles I have been in for 8 years. My husband is the love of my life and is down for anything. We have two basset hounds Taylor Swift and Reba McEntire and a 20 year old cat Wilson. This is a beautiful country full of beautiful people being pit against each other to prevent real change. I don’t want to be too personal on here. I’d rather just show you some cool pictures and poems. But backstory is something important I guess. Pretty soon there’s not going to be any of this left to enjoy and we will all live in ant farms they call apartment buildings dreaming of sky. I guess I just want to see some of it before that happens.-Leeland Sky

Lake Havasu Arizona a true oasis in the desert. Took these on my cellphone waiting to upload the rest of my pics from my dslr. I kept asking the locals if they were sure there was nothing that was going to try to eat me in the water. They didn’t seem too certain. Met a man with two dogs and a lot to say. Western Arizona is a wild place.

Snowed in on the Mongollon Rim in Coconino National Forest for a weekend. Wild experience for two Floridians in March. Few lessons learned, a few more stories for the future. Met a man in an antique shop who rode his motorcycle from Arizona to Alaska and back in 7 weeks at 83 years old. A few men with trucks and dogs and kids who helped us figure our way out of the snow. Grateful
