Ribbon Falls, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona: Chimik’yana’kya Deya’ is the Zuni pronunciation for Ribbon Falls, a beautiful waterfall found six miles heading north along Bright Angel Creek in the Grand Canyon. Hiking to the waterfall is an all day journey. Once at the waterfall, there is shade and pools to enjoy being in near the waterfall. The water is mineral rich, which forms a giant travertine platform down below the 100-foot waterfall.

The back door to the Grand Canyon: It’s 61 bumpy, unpaved miles to reach this little-known entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park. But you’ll never forget the views from Toroweap Overlook (a glimpse above, from our Your Shot Instagram). The Colorado River is a winking ribbon at the bottom of a narrow, 3,000-foot-deep chasm, Nat Geo reports.

Baby bison! I hope this little one is having a good life being an invasive species on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Just because it's invasive, doesn't mean I can't love it.
