How to get Sims 2 neighborhoods (.sc4 files) into the Sims 3 Create A World.

1. Download and install SimCity 4 Terraformer from here:

Here’s how to do that:

2. Open your desired .sc4 file (neighborhood terrain file) from either TSR, Modthesims, or one from the Sims 2’s SC4 Terrains folder, in sc4 Terraformer.

(I don’t know if it’s possible to get .sc4 files from the premade neighborhoods, but I haven’t looked into it in a while.)

3. Look to the left for the global tools button, click the drop down, then click on export as 16 bit png.

You will then have to type the name of the .sc4 file, except instead of “.sc4” at the end put in “.png”

After pressing “enter,” you will have exported your heightmap. But of course you can’t just import it into CAW. Before you can you must:

4. Open this image in Gimp. Go to image>flatten image, then go to file>export as and choose the 16 bit GRAY option from the drop down. Then choose .png as the image type from below.

Open the exported image in Create A World. You will have to smooth the terrain, possibly even change the water level.

I think that’s it! I could have missed something of course, so please tell me if this process works for you. If someone finds a way to export heightmaps from premade hoods then skip to step 4 and continue from there.

Mrs. Williams (Delilah) is the most conservative a sim can be, as in she doesn’t believe in the supernatural. Will he finally feel something from sending his Andie to the simitarium after his latest question?

Andie King Williams was born in SimValley. His parents knew there was something different about him from his birth. His inquisitive nature often stumping his parents and everyone else he asked. This wasn’t because of something with Andie, or anyone else, but that he and everyone else in their universe had no idea what the answers were. Andie, unlike other children, had to be taught how to ride a bicycle. And after his latest discovery, will Andie finally get the answers he’s been searching for?

Is it possible to mod the Sims 3 to be able to reorganize or reorder clothing in Create A Sim in any way you want? If so, would it depend on something like file name? I just need answers for a project of mine.

How do you open a single sims 2 neighborhood terrain file (.sc4) in SimCity 4 Terraformer? I’ve done it before, but I just can’t seem to figure out how to do it again! Recently I’ve only been able to open entire regions since installing SimCity 4. Uninstalling it doesn’t do anything. Please help if you can!

I’m not sure if it’s common knowledge already, but with SimCity 4 Terraformer, Gimp, and CAW it’s possible. You don’t even need the Sims 2 or SimCity 4 installed! I’ll hopefully be posting the tutorial tomorrow.

Some players like to eat cookie and have a cookie, or something like that. Refering this to creating worlds I mean, that they don’t necessarily want to create an island, but they still want to have access to the sea or ocean, partially.

So in fourth set you can see not one, not two, but three coastal distant terrains. Each one for other climat and environment. There are also two desert ones and one lowland, which is almost whole green and grassy.

For a long time I wasn’t fan of desert worlds, so creating these desert Distant Terrains was challenge for me. Creating coastal ones is more difficult too, cause I have more edges to sculp. But they’re finally flat enough at the edges, to imitate beaches.

Either way, you can choose between size for 4x4 worlds and 6x6 worlds. Templates for 6x6 are to download in this post.

I have a theory! I think I figured out the Sims timeline, excluding the Sims 4 of course. Hear me out:

Nearly every town in the Sims 3 is at a different place in the whole time line. All other games could quite literally be anywhere on the timeline in between Twinbrook and Oasis Landing. Feel free to comment and tell me if you see any thing odd about this.

The Sims 2 community needs to normalize using multiple different hair texturing systems. I personally like to use Poppet’s textures, The New Hair System, and Remi’s textures.
