destiel backshots but every clap is thunder booming in the distance and when they finish it knocks out the power grid. it gets covered on the news. people start finding electrocuted trees with insane bark patterns. local diner patrons think it's aliens communicating because the patterns are too precise to be natural. the stroke game gets a wiki page. dean shows castiel the wiki page as a joke but is actually curious about the trees. turns out castiel was accidentally imprinting dean's vein patterns into the nearby forest

I love Cas' Damsel in Distress complex. Like, babe. Castiel, Angel of the Lord, has killed so many people and things, has a massive amount of power.

But if Dean's in the fight, suddenly Cas doesn't know how to fight. Girl just like, You saved me, how can I ever repay you 🥰

Dean can infiltrate no problem bc he genuinely knows everything about cars and gets super into discussing fixes, gets wildly side-tracked, while Sam goes off to interrogate a bunch of car-enthusiast hot milfs

Dean is glued at the hip to Cas and Cas always stands awkwardly at the Impala, doesn't know anything about cars, so everyone just assumes Cas is the boyfriend who showed up for support? And the hot young ladies in shorts and boots befriend him bc he's apparently one of the hot girlfriends? And so he gets insight into their lives and solves the case, leading them final-girl style through the monster showdown in a garage full of heavy machinery and angry ghosts

Dean watches him emerge from the garage, shotgun in hand, shirt torn and covered in grease, and he bluescreens so hard he just runs past the flock of bombshells in shorts and tank tops (also covered in grease) to clutch Cas to check him for injuries

So this is the “pilot episode” for a comic I’d like to keep adding onto just for fun, the basic premise is that it’s a post canon fix it comic about Dean discovering who he is outside of his macho persona while also repairing his relationships and building new ones.

It is a Destiel fic but it’s gonna be a slow burn because Dean has decided he can’t talk about his feelings until all his emotional issues are resolved (spoilers that’s not how things like that work).

I also plan on peppering in some lore explaining how Cas got out of the empty, how they ended up with a house, and who is currently God in universe. I’m not sure when I’ll get to work on another installment but hopefully it won’t be long because this has been an AU rolling around in my head since 2020

Cas wiped Lisa and Ben’s mind of all memories of Dean and then inserted himself into the role of loving wife and made sure Dean was involved in raising Claire and Jack. Dude was sly as hell
