No I completely agree with you, the amount of times I have heard people talk about Asmo/Beel being so one sided and not having much character growth is way to much, 

Like yeah in the beginning it does seem like their sin is the only thing that’s on their mind but that’s because character growth.... Needs time to grow...

The two are still super underappreciated and I’de love to see Let’s date do more with them but the fandom is just... so slow 

Mild take but Asmo is a well-written character (for the game he’s in) the fandom is just horrible at writing him tbh

An honest review of the new characters from Obey Me

If you’re confused or haven’t been informed, Shall we date - Obey me’s developers have posted a photo of three silhouetted characters revealing they’re coming to the game in season 3

As you can see there is a fem presenting character

This has sparked so many controversies 

And i’m not here to put these controversies down or defend them but explain them! 

The leak problem 

The leak problem hasn’t been much of an issue, there was a few leaks from the game regarding certain cards but nothing in too much depth

But once these three has appeared problems have arrived

People have started leaking their designs, names and voice lines to the point where Official Obey Me had to make a twitter post regarding this problem

Pros?

Not many pros from this, leaking designs and voice lines doesn’t commit much into the gameplay, leaking cards may have pros for those who play obey me as f2p so they can save or not

Cons?

Leaking can cause many people get into legal troubles, from getting fired or full on lawful battles 

The fem presenting character 

Something that many people from the community has wanted was a fem character 

And as of recently people have started making comments about the left character stating that they’re NB

Which is great! 

Although many people are refusing to believe this, a twitter user had showed a magazine post regarding this and people have said that the character was NB from there but now all of a sudden the translation was incorrect?

People have rumorized that the character on the left names is Reaper which is a character that already has been talked about by other obey me characters which they have used they/them pronouns while talking about them

This has caused alot of confusion in the community

Pros?

Whether the left character is fem presenting, NB presenting or both the representation is well included 

Having a character whoes fem presenting may bring in more members to play the game

Cons?

Although representation is always needed there might be cons on the way in the future because the dev’s might abuse the power and rep them badly 

And ontop of that there’s pointless arguments which has already started in the community which is leading many obey me fans afraid that the fanbase may lead to toxicity due to these people leading hate

Random Obey me headcanons I have accumulated over time (Part 2)

Because im neurodivergent 

Diavolo LOVES video games but has never had the time to play any on his own since he’s so fucking busy

Levi loves to sew, not just for cosplay but he also likes fixing broken fabrics he finds

Ontop of that it’s the same for mechanical parts, just in general he loves fixing things

Levi has a split personality from when he’s outside and when he’s the hells navy, tends to act alot like Satan while doing work 

Asmo has a sanrio aesthetic so does Satan but if you ask him he’ll refuse it 

Mammon is the type of person who would bite someone affectionately- not sexual but he sometimes has a sudden urge to bite mc if they’re cuddeling

Lucifer’s joints crack WAAAAYYY to often- like bubble wrap when you step on it

Satan has been to a maid cafe, Beel joined him too but not for the same reason Satan went 

The only thing besides Solomon’s cooking that Beel won’t over consume is demonus because Beel doesn’t like the feeling of liquor.... “not again...” 

Lucifer’s loves to sing when you and him are together, his voice is very soothing 

Mammon calls people bro unironically- it’s apart of his language now

Belphie has obsession with squishmallows - especially the scented ones

Random Obey me headcanons I have accumulated over time

Levi constantly gets into arguments in game discussions about unreleased character ages whether he defends it or not depends on the character, Levi religously believes Ruri is an adult 

Satan loves dark chocolate (No reason why I have this headcanon he just does it’s canon now) 

MC atleast once had a argument with one of the brothers over bible lore with full knowledge that they’re in the bible 

Diavolo tottaly found one of those minecraft books (yk THOSE ones you’d find at your book sale at school) and thought it was some sort of Necronomicon because of the cover and sealed it away 

Mammon has been cancelled three times online for scamming people (he still does it) 

Beel likes cats but secretly always says he wants a dog because he’s scared if he gets a cat he’ll crush it because it’s too tiny 

Belphie 100% stole a couple of Levi’s body pillows this is canon im let’s date 

Levi HATES seafood and cries everytime he has it because he thinks about Henry 

Asmo constantly uses otaku hentai slang all the time (example: bukkake)

Barbatos is nonbinary (Will explain more in next post) 

Ontop of slang Diavolo misuses SO MUCH of it, like that parent that think he’s hip and cool but ends up failing and Lucifer cringes at it, Barbatos is just as clueless

Satan tends to randomly hyper fixate on learning random things which is what lead his passion towards cats

Luke has called Simeon mom way to many times once Solomon hearing it and to this day he teasing Luke about it 

Solomon isn’t actually interested in games/tsl but tries to use information from it to form a pact with Levi 

Lucifer’s hands are filled with callouses from constantly working, doing both physical work and writing essays
