tbh in retrospect i think bucktommy was the funniest relationship in the show. two grown men spend six months dating each other because they both really want to fuck some other guy but can't admit that this is the guy they'd rather be dating. the kind of behavior you might expect from like. the only two queer teens in a bigoted small town. not two men in los fucking angeles with whole ass careers. and mind you the whole time said other guy is completely unaware that this is going on and is just kinda thinking "my best friend and his boyfriend :) time to hang out with my best friend and his boyfriend :)" while carrying out an emotional affair with the doppelganger of his dead wife that will unbeknownst to him result in him spending a month living in el paso working as an uber driver.

eddie and chris’ relationship? no development. is chris still mad? did they reconcile? did they even talk about the whole kim situation? it all happened off screen so we’ll literally never know.

bobby died. so what. i guess it’s just to remind us that maybe the main characters aren’t safe. okay? stupid

the wilsons adopting mara with absolutely zero setup the entire season.

buck moving out of eddie’s house,what even was the point of that whole storyline when it led absolutely nowhere.

I am genuinely fucking perplexed

I've been watching 911 since this January and it became my fixation so I was extremely excited for season 8b

What the fuck was that

I'm no writer but I think I've handed in better English assignments than whatever this script was, the whole season was just off. I've started every episode with multiple scenarios in my head, and each time they somehow chose the oddest, most out of character and straight up insulting option. Why build your whole fucking show on a foreshadowing structure just to break out of it in the worst way possible. Killing off a character whose whole fucking arc was about accepting being alive.

And I don't know if I'm just delusional but I was almost convinced that buddie would go at least semi-canon. It just made narrative sense? Why the hell is Buck looking for a new apartment, what even was his storyline this season if he doesn't realise his feelings for Eddie. It was all pointless? The whole Texas storyline feels pointless as well, without Eddie CHOOSING to stay in LA for himself.

im just. not a single storyline this season had satisfying conclusion. not the texas arc for eddie. not bathena rebuilding the house. not bobby dying. not madney expecting a second child. not henren adopting mara. not chris returning home. not whatever the fuck was buck’s storyline this season. nothing that happened matters. so much was done either offscreen or in a rushed montage at the very end of the episode. why. just why.
