When I was working in this one theatre, I heard a story about a now famous Irish playwright who had studied there in his younger days. Anyway the theatre found a copy of an unpublished manuscript of his buried in a box in their storage room, a work he'd written but never put to stage. The theatre wanted to publish it, since it HAD been left in THEIR building. It was just sitting there, making nobody any money, being unappreciated in its genius. If he wanted his work to be unpublished, he shouldn't have left it in the theatre. The act of him leaving a piece of art in a public space was tacit consent to the free use of that art.

The playwright wrote to the theatre with a single line: "I will burn your house down."

The manuscript was never published.

Another complaint we get is that when we plant trees, we only plant small trees which isn't equivalent to the ones we chop down. And it's like... the trees are small because they're younger. I promise if you go to the older parts of town you'll see that they do not stay small.
