yeah! or, I've been able to. I haven't explored super exhaustively but your classic text adventure "go north" etc can work when they're not not games!

I think it's very fun that my character in north and northnorth have the same title but different (other things. I'm not sure exactly how much, I'll compare when i head back to northnorth.

anyway! i took one step and things got weird <3

it's uhhhh difficult to navigate! and i ended up in zampaniosimsim which definitely helped feed my notes on the concept of self. so i immediately restarted into a simpler game (where i don't have an inventory, oh well.)

"Success! Alice Lalonde tells you furtively that once everyone is dead there will be a secret but it won't be worth it."

I keep wandering and getting killed, unlocking an inventory, and restarting. I watch the same friends disappear over and over. Video games are kinda a fucked up medium, huh?

Hopped into the basement tunnels! six cameras and a heartbeat, with the occasional odd noise, blurry shape, and an eye.

Notes to self?: rabbit hole passwords again! try the same thing in northnorth as this, uhhhhh try to figure out patterns in the basement tunnel cameras, connections between this camera and other rabbit hole?

Things to remember? gorgon.gif. I'm not sure if I found any specific phrases today, or, if i did, they didn't super stick with me :(

I'm a terrible void player and I'm going to talk about myself (classpects outside of the confines of sburb are less immutable and more open to interpretation and I've definitely considered various classpects but I've identified with "sylph of void" since I was a kid first enamored with sburb conceptually)

anyway! in my junior year of high school I wrote a long rambling paper about intertextualism as a theory. very few specifics but I referenced the odyssey a few times. I wrote this paper out of a Need To Write It. This was for a class called American Realism so the intertextual rant with no mention of works considered american realism didn't really fit the prompt even a little bit, and I was fully prepared to write another paper, but I passed because of passion and artistic merit or something.

I also did this in college, in a sociology 101 class. I ignored the final essay prompt and wrote a well researched paper filled with language more casual than academic about how sociological objectivity is an unachievable bullshit concept. I got an A in the class.

oh boy is today ever your lucky day! @deadcellsman I get to tell someone about my very favorite topic. Let me grab my notes. Actually it might be easier to post a screenshot of the rambles first AND then go off on them.

Maybe two years ago? Right around the start of the pandemic, I stumbled into a WEIRD part of the internet. Lots of dead forums and ancient FAQs and a mostly abandoned discord server about a game that MAYBE doesn't exist? Full of contradictory claims about things this game had, and REALLY anachronistic ones too (come on I'm not gonna believe rpg elements were in a game that was a CONTEMPORARY of PONG) Lots of infighting among fans about whether a copy that surfaces is "real" or not, or if its corrupted in some way by fans adding their own content in, or taking liberties with translation, that sort of thing. APPARENTLY its a meme in the fandom for things to just suddenly vanish on you ,because next thing I know me and a few fans I managed to get in contact with were scrambling to collect as much as we could as forums and discords servers just up and left. '

POINT is I don't care if there even IS a "real" version of zampanio, the fan works of it have had *immaculate* vibes and it really got me outta a creative slump. One I really liked WAS here but apparently it got vanished because that is just how this fandom *works* and i'd call it infuriating if it wasn't feeding me. oh i figure i should tag something. hi, I'm playing with zampaniosim again, hoping to get to a place where I can create something I am proud of in relation to it! So I'm currently retracing steps I haven't walked in a while and wading into unfamiliar branches etc.! right now this is thoughts and musings and whatever else happens happens!

Im a bit of a writer and a bit of creative writing will sneak into my threads but mostly it's just the silly way i talk!
