The Sun will move into the water sign of Cancer at 10:42pm ET tonight, ushering in the season that squarely deals with the emotional state of awareness.

The symbol for Cancer is the Crab, which is so appropriate. The crab carries its home with it so it is always "at home." Cancer is the sign that rules home and family, so many during the Cancer transit update their decor or experience changes in family dynamics.

When you read more about the biology of crabs you find a lot of similarity to the Cancer transit, and the things humans do during this time.

In the Northern Hemisphere it's Summer where we want to crawl out of our shells. We desire to feel the Sun or hit the pool, lake or beach for swimming or skiing. In the Southern Hemisphre it's winter where we hibernate into our shell and wait out the cold weather.

But there's also a reason we use the term "crabby" when someone is being grouchy or ill-tempered. We have a false sense of security that our hard shell will keep us from the consequences of being crabby; that is until someone puts us in the boiling pot!

ꨄ A brief guide and introduction ꨄ

I am so close to crashing out. Tell me why I was almost done writing this blog and then guess what. It got “saved as a draft”. Spoiler! It wasn’t in drafts and now I have to rewrite it… it’s alright, you can laugh ߹ ᯅ ߹

I’m going to say what I said initially here (before this app deleted my whole blog…). The reason why I got so intro astrocartography is because it worked for me personally. The country (and city) that I currently live in falls under my sun trine MC aspect line, which is amazing for my career and development. Mind you I never even knew about astrocartography until this year, but even before I moved here, when I was just visiting the country, I felt such a weird attraction to this place. It was insane. I am so glad that I did move here. The amount of opportunities, and leadership positions I was pushed into are crazy.

Also, since this post took so long to write, I just wanna apologise. I was on break and as soon as I finished, I had to go back to the grind. I didn’t get to post at all. I’m just waiting for the exam season to end and for this year to end so I can be more constant with my posts. The reason why this post took so long to write it’s also because I wrote so much and it took me a horrible amount of time to compile all the necessary info. But I hope you guys enjoy it. If you have any personal experiences with living on a specific line, please leave a comment so I can read it (since I’m so nosy).

What is astrocartography?

So when your beautiful soul gets placed in a physical vessel, the planets and celestial bodies in the sky have certain positions. Those positions will reflect not only on your birth chart, but also on your astrocartography chart, which shows precisely the lines formed by those celestial bodies and planets.

When looking at your astrocartography chart it’s also important to keep your birth chart in mind because it can have an influence on how you experience certain lines alongside other factors that will be discussed later on in this blog.

An astrocartography chart has major lines and aspect lines. In this blog we will focus on the major lines and in the second part we will talk about the aspect lines (for some reason they r severely overlooked online, which is weird since I believe those are more accurate).

How do I access my astrocartography chart?

It’s easyyyy. There are multiple free calculators online that can calculate your chart. The one that I use is provided by “Astro.com”. You are more than welcome to use other sites tbh, but I like this one cause it has ur aspect lines, and it has them nicely sectioned as positive and negative aspects, which makes it easier to understand for people who aren’t as familiar with all the little details of astrology.

If you search “Astro.com astrocartography chart” it should pop up. After you fill in your details, you will automatically be presented with a map that has multiple colored lines. That is your chart. Zoom in and out as much as you want to be able to navigate the map.

For those who don’t always remember every symbol associated with each planet (just like me frl), here is a small image that can help you with that:

Every line is color coded with the symbol. I know the map is crowded, especially if you zoom out, but just you wait till we get to the aspect lines. It’s a soup of colours.

How do I read my chart?

Ok, so few things before we start. If you look closer you will see next to every planetary symbol, a few letters, AC/DC/IC/MC.

Bear in mind, every planet or comical body has a certain influence on an area of your life. And the positions next to it represent how that will mostly manifest.

AC: it’s all about YOU. Your inner development, your inner self, your IDENTITY. You will embody the energy of the planet physically or behaviourally.

DC: this is all about your relationships, whether platonic, professional or romantic. You are going to attract the planet’s energy through other people/connection you make.

IC: this is your roots, your home, your traditions even and your emotions. You will feel this planets influence in your home environment and this position is deeply transformative.

MC: here comes the moneyyyy. Ok so this position is about your public recognition, your career and it’s such a good boost. You’ll feel it through how the world sees you. Great planet for massive recognition in your field.

It’s also really important to check your personal birth chart alongside your astrocartography chart to be able to get the most accurate interpretation.

Please mind that there isn’t inherently a good line or a bad line. Each line is supposed to teach you certain things. Every line will have its ups and downs and depending on what you are searching to achieve, the lines can help you achieve it faster. Mind you that at the end of the day, it is up to you to put in the effort to get what you want. Astrocartography shows you where the flow of energy is smoother, allowing for certain things to manifest easier.

Now that we covered the basics, let’s dive in!

Sun line:

AC: you just radiate love. This line will make you shine for who you are and it will bring you closer to your true self. Great line for self love and acceptance. Your presence alone is charming and it grabs attention wherever you go. If you feel like your life feels stagnant and you wanna rediscover yourself, travel hereeee.

In positive it will give u crazy confidence, it will make you more self fulfilled and self actualised. Good for taking up new projects such as business or any project that puts you in a leadership role since this line will make you feel more comfortable under this position.

In negative this line is quite draining making you feel like you have to be always ready for anything. A lot of pressure to always perform effortlessly and perfectly. Can lead to burnout. So please manage your boundaries and expectations well.

Overall if you want to start a personal brand or a business. Going for a solo trip or a rediscovery trip is going to work well for you. You will find yourself more aligned with yourself and your purpose.

DC: this is your time to shine in terms of relationships. Like the way you’ll attract people by the way you walk, talk and just breathe is insane. Your relationships (platonic and professional included) are going to be transformative for you. They r going to be this relationships that change the way you see yourself. You’re going to be uplifted and confident. You are going to understand yourself better. You are going to attract strong willed, fun and loving people in your life. AC: omg so this line so amazing if you want to be noticed for your looks. You will physically look better. I swear. I personally lived on this line for such a long time and didn’t even know. Every time I came back on this line, I kept telling my friends that I feel like I am so much prettier here. GUESS WHAT I realised later I was on my Venus AC line. Not only you’ll look better, you’ll feel better and that is such an amazing feeling. The fact that I was constantly approached here and people are staring at me so much here. Tumblr is VERY Piscean and I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

Today I woke up thinking about how Tumblr has been the only website out there where I can share longer writings of mine and get them noticed and appreciated by merely including hashtags. The niche as a writer that I am falling into is extremely unconventional- it’s vulnerable personal accounts of my life, contextualized by astrology that naturally most want to come from me. And I am very grateful for anyone who resonates with my frequency and appreciates my messages, because I know I’m basically out here trauma dumping😂, and to happen across other people who are here for both that and astrology, is surely a rarity!

I was feeling grateful enough for Tumblr this morning to get the idea to look up when this site was launched. I was curious just what were the open-minded dynamics, so accepting of emotional vulnerability, that characterize Tumblr. To my pleasant surprise, Google informed me that Tumblr was launched at the very beginning of Pisces Season- meaning that it’s just about to have its birthday.

But that wasn’t all. Tumblr’s conception chart (with time unknown, but at least city known) is likely the most Piscean chart I have personally ever seen. 💖 Every single personal planet except Mars is in Pisces (and maybe it’s a good thing Mars didn’t join this party😂). All this Piscean energy seems to create a realm where I can find others as if I’m divinely guided by the Universal spirit which connects us all.

There’s vast yet connected territory here, because Pisces is the very undercurrent that runs through all of society. It’s the 12th and final sign, so it holds a little understanding of them all. 💧

Pisces holds so much power, it just holds it graciously. And often inconspicuously.

Pisces also explains why I was just realizing I see so many emojis included in informative astro Tumblr posts, compared to other sites. I’d been wondering if Cancer had a hand in this somehow (I myself am a Cancer Mercury, and please don’t ask me to not include emojis in my writing😂). But Pisces really makes a lot of sense too. Both Cancer and Pisces energy want to show expression in emotional terms… and emojis are so good for that. ❤️

And jeez, Tumblr still has relevance after seventeen years?! What other social media sites can you manage to say that about?? 🤔 This really shows the fluid and mutable ability of Pisces to adapt.

The Moon and Venus in Pisces in Tumblr’s conception chart really create an expression of Pisces energy that’s especially accepting and open to emotional vulnerability. And personally, they are trine my Moon in Scorpio, explaining even more why Tumblr-ites can stomach any sharing of my trauma. 😂 As if that wasn’t beautiful enough, the Pisces Sun in this chart is on my Pisces ascendant. No wonder I feel this is the only site I’ve so far found that gives me and my writing a place to shine. 🌞

Mercury retrograde in Pisces could be seen by some as indicative of a site where not the most comprehensively informative nor practical writing is shared. But I see it as indicative of a site where writing that makes people reflect on their emotions, grow their imagination, and even feel open to the web of Spirit connecting us all, is shared. I’ve long been fascinated and often admired a Mercury in “detriment” because it brings Jupiter’s realm up into Mercury’s realm; merging areas that can relate to the concepts of “left brain” and “right brain”, sometimes in amazing ways. And Mercury retrograde just gives us more opportunities for inward reflection. I love that posts can stay relevant here for ages, as we keep coming back to reflect upon them.

Jupiter is at home in Sagittarius in Tumblr’s profoundly Piscean conception chart, and aspecting some of those Pisces placements, so I think you can say this chart is extremely Jupiterian in every way. Personally, I’m so here for the expansive energy. 🏹 There are many ways to grow your philosophies hanging around on this site.

And I should mention that Uranus is also with the group of powerful forces for love and oneness hanging out in Pisces, because this is a revolution.

Thanks to the North Node also in Pisces in Tumblr’s chart, lending extra forward motion to this whole movement, I’d say exploring Jupiter territory, most colored by the loving, accepting, and spirit-recognizing side of Jupiter that is Pisces, is a perfectly appropriate direction for this site to only go deeper in.

A “4th house heavy” solar return chart can contend that family/home related matters will be of importance in that year. I had a client who had a family member become ill when her solar return ascendant was the same sign as her natal 4th house cusp (I experienced a similar thing in my own life), she also had a stellium in her solar return 4th house. She spend a lot of time at home, taking care of the sick family member (as did the rest of her family), they all relied on each other for emotional support in that year. Please note that I am not saying that someone will become sick if you have planets in the SR 4th house etc.. this is just one of the many ways a 4th house heavy solar return year can unfold.

If you want to see what you can expect when it comes to your finances & personal resources in the upcoming year, look to your solar return 2nd, 8th, and 11th houses! Uranus in the solar return 2nd house can indicate financial instability throughout the year. However, if Uranus received trines & sextiles from the other planets you may see a positive (yet unexpected) change to your finances.

You are likely to be very busy in the years when your solar return chart has a 3rd or 6th house emphasis. Annual Profections

Hello! I finally got a time to make a post here in Tumblr! I just want to say that this February was really though for me. There were many exams this month. But luckily, I passed the math exams yesterday, which is such an achievement to me. Nevermind, let's just finally get into the topic. Today I'd like to say something about annual profections and what each profection year mean. This system is very much used in Hellenistic astrology and it helps to predict significant events in someone's life.

The profection year is a system or a tool which is used to predict the events of your life based on how old are you, or we can say, based on each year. Every house has its own profection year and you can experience the events based on your age every 12 years. When we interpret someone's profection year, it important to look at the age of a person, which house relates to the person's certain age and the ruler of that house. I will interpret each profection year by each house now.

1st house

If you're 12, 24, 36, 48 or 60 years old, then you have the 1st house profection year. This year might be about you or your body. You may probably care more about your body and physical health this year. If your 1st house ruler is well-placed (in its own sign or exalted), then you might get noticed by a lot of people this year and the 1st house stuff might manifest this year in the way it should. However, if your 1st house ruler is badly placed (in detriment or in fall), then it might be harder for you to maintain the 1st house stuff.

2nd house

If you're 13, 25, 37, 49 or 61 years old, then you have the 2nd house profection year. This year might be about making money or maintaining the resources for you. The 2nd house is all about livelihood, the things that are crucial for us to survive, such as food, money and even family. You might care about these things this year. Check out your 2nd house placements for more clarity.

3rd house

If you're 14, 26, 38, 50 or 62 years old, then you're in the 3rd house profection year. The 3rd house is related to siblings, learning and travel. Your humble personality, your regime, your hard work & long-term efforts is something that you will gain a lot of respect for. Kim Kardashian has Jupiter (°15 Gemini) in Libra in the 2nd house . Out of all the Kardashians, she has the most iconic lines in the family. She's also a proud woman, a business woman & has been studying law since 2018. Despite her controversy, she is still respected for her eye for business & her powerful connections and just her as a brand. Also, she was most noticeable as Kanye's wife (or rather ex-wife at the moment). She definitely did the right thing ngl.

Guess who also has this? Jungkook. Hah. He has Jupiter (°12 Pisces ) in Aquarius in the 7th house. He is mostly associated with BTS for a large portion of his life & that part will never leave him even if they no longer produce music together in the future. That's part of his legacy. Though, you can expect to see him with his wife in the future but working in a different way (not really leaning into how he did it before) I don't think he'll be "on stage" much after marriage but present in a different way. Side note, but I thought it was funny how both he & Cristian Ronaldo have almost the same Jupiter placement; Aquarius Jupiter (°7 Libra) in the 12th.

Ex: The best example to give is Lana Del Rey with Jupiter in Aquarius (°10 Capricorn) in the 5th house. With Jupiter in this placement, people adore your dualism & mystical appeal. Your art & aesthetic is the most "eye-catching" point of interest in your career (in whatever industry you may be in one way or another). Ex: This is a pretty out of place example compared to what I usually give, but Charles Manson has Jupiter in Scorpio (° 18 Virgo) in the 12th house. He is an infamous cult leader who had a lot of charisma (which inevitably helped grow his already manipulative influence). Now, I don't think it's actually something to be "respected" but he is quite famous for that trait of his. I know some freaks look up to him for that. Which really, reaaally shouldn't be the case. That Pisces -Scorpio combination is just power given to the wrong hands.

For those of you wondering if the Midheaven persona chart works the same way as the Ascendant Persona Chart, no it does not. They are vastly different. I've explained in my Ascendant Persona Chart guide & observations post about the latter but essentially; The MC PC entails your grand scheme reputation or public image (which is often tied to your career but not limited to)

Mars in the Ascendant Persona Chart - Houses

The mars in the ascendant persona chart can tell you how your raw sensuality can come across as or how your rage and anger can be expressed, when coming into contact with others. This is my 10th part of my ascendant persona chart series, so check out my masterlist to see my other posts.

1st house - This is a very intimidating and powerful place for mars to be in. People may have a tendency to step around you, especially those with weaker mars placements. You may be seen as a very strong and powerful person and may introduce yourself with a gust of power and force. Very action driven, and sexy however once again people may be a bit intimated by you. Use that to your advantage.

2nd house - This is such a girl boss placement to have being that you're seen very much as a go getter and ambitious in your desire to chase after material gains. You may be very picky on who you let touch your stuff and you may appear to be very possessive of what you own. But since the 2nd house doesn't aspect the ascendant on first meeting (unless this person is touching or helping you gain items), you may not be that intimidating, and that is something the people in your life have to learn.

3rd house - Very strong and powerful voice, you could be a good debater and love a bit of banter. However this could be taken in the wrong way being that you may make jokes that are too strong, that could cause offence. This could also be an indicator that you don't vibe with people of similar background to you and you want to explore other topics because of that mars energy. Very spunky energy 3rd house mars.

4th house - Since this is the deepest part of you a 4th house mars does indicate that you may come across very protective of your home and loved ones. This could be a person who's very adamant on following familiar traditions and therefore will these ideals will show when interacting with others. Very striking appearance with a 4th house mars being that it's square the 1st house, possibly strong features could manifest with this placement.

5th house - You may be very artistic and even a dancer, life is fun and you hold others hands and welcome them on a great ride of excitement. Very sexy placement to have being that this energy is trine the 1st house, and a persuasive house swell being it's the house of fun and dating. I would say that if you have this placement if you want something tease and make little jokes and you can get what you want.

6th house - Such a girl boss placement to have, very organised and practical. You may have a high level of energy when it comes to your job or personal health and wellness. This is the placement for people who live very focused and perhaps active lifestyle. It could be about being a workaholic or a gym junky. This placement indicates someone who is driven to be efficient, organised, and to take action to improve their physical well-being or work performance, so rock on. 7th house - This placement indicates that when interacting one on one with others you may express a bit of force and aggression. This doesn't mean that you like to square up on others however you may like to make mean jokes or even want to experience the highlight with others. 8th house - You hold secrets and may hesitate before expressing your lust or desire for others. There could be a sense of shame you carry which you hide however it's in the 8th house which brings a bit of mystery to your presence. You can appear to be calm and composed at one point however it's all or nothing and roaring passion in the next.

9th house - If you have this placement I would recommend you download reddit and just start arguing with people. Lolololol you are very passionate about your personal beliefs and ideologies, you could be very spiritual or the opposite. You may want to tackle and rip apart books and explore different cultures to understand how it functions and works. Yeah if you have this placement read books to back up your claims. Not to mention this firery energy is trine to the ascendant meaning that this fiery curiosity Is taken quite well.

10th house - Should we all bow down to you. You are naturally such a boss b*tch with a regal air of sophistication. Such a well placed mars. You guys are ambitious and know when to put your foot down and you mean it. Being that this is the house of career and public perception this could mean that you may know how to utilise your marsian energy and detach from anger and what not. Very powerful, not to mention sexy as It just reeks power.

11th house - You are all or nothing about their beliefs and goals (depends on sign etc etc though). You're are likely to be assertive and possibly even vocal about their personal ideas and strategies to help society. Being that this energy is in the 11th house of friends you may sometimes have the tendency to put your foot down and not listen to both sides as you may prioritise your ideas etc etc. Great placement for an social activist.

12th house - This is a somewhat of a cutesty placement for mars to be in, however since its a malefic in a malefic house, you may come across having a troubled mind, or the exact opposite. Being that the 12th house is a pisces house this could represent surrender and you fully understanding the dark truths of life, which is unfortunately translated into your behaviour and how you interact with others.
