on this account we ETHICALLY goon to reiner braun (we understand the complexities of his character. we understand that he was doomed from the beginning. that he was pushed by authority figures to fill shoes too big for him. that he never could and never did fill them and he fell short constantly of the ideal he wanted to emulate for his mother’s validation. that all he wanted was respect and to be looked at as a hero and the only time this ever happened was from the so-called devils he was actively slaughtering and betraying for years. he used the excuse that he was ‘saving the world’ but he knew deep down that wasn’t true, that his selfishness was at odds with his morals. that the guilt of caring could not coincide with his heroised warrior ideal so his mind split in two and he betrayed the only people who really knew him too (bertholdt and annie), leaving them isolated without the boy who essentially forced them to continue the invasion of paradis. so many were killed for praise that would be ultimately meaningless to him. he was not a good friend to anyone, he was a murderer, he was never and will never be a hero. and every time we goon we give a shout out to these nuances).

Post War Levi has a special chair in the living room that no one is allowed to sit in. Not even you. He won’t tell you you’re not allowed but you catch on quick that it’s HIS chair. Anyone else that isn’t aware and sits in it Levi has no problem telling them to get up and move. Gabi and Falco know not to sit in it, Gabi chooses to sit in it to annoy him. She even lays on it sideways with her legs hanging off the arm rests. He lifts the chair from behind to make her fall off the chair and then proceeds to clean the chair before he sits on it. I imagine the chair with a sage green and a darker green floral print, it’s cushioned,with dark brown wood and a doily on the top part. That is where he reads, that is where he talks to visitors, that is where he likes to spend quiet time with you doing a different hobby.
