FU-VE Bags!
The founder of Fu-ve bags Andrea Rojas design began with a need. After starting the use of reusable grocery bags, she frequently had the same frustration. While unpacking the reusable bags, still found herself using a lot of plastic bags for produce. Being concerned with the environment and feeling guilty of throwing the used produce bags away, she ended up having this bags invade her kitchen cabinets. One day returning from the grocery store she found herself storing seven new produce plastic bags. She had a “brilliant” moment then, she came up with a good solution the Fu-ve bags. After a lot of research, prototypes and user feedback she improved her idea to what it is today. The Fu-ve bags are lightweight, easy to use and stylish, most importantly they are an everyday solution for a eco-friendly world.

This Project was really enjoyable. I consider myself a food lover, so for this project I incorporated my love for food with my mexican heritage. I collected family recipes, cooked them and photograph them. It was a lot of work but really satisfying to see the outcome at the end.

This project was really interesting for me since it was the first audio tour I made. It was a different approach towards design and I found it really interesting. I realized music made a huge impact on design and I was happy to explore audacity.

I chose to redesign the Edelweiss Salon website. I visited the salon and created a website that represented its environment. I designed a simple and easy to use website. This project was a challenge to me because it was my first time working with code.

For this project I was asked to create a timeline about typography. I designed a vertical timeline that is easy to read and to understand. I included photographs that relate to the event in history on the right.

Making GIF's was a quick exercise to find out what we where interested in on East Riverside. I first started following a party theme since there are a lot of party supply stores around there. But while making this GIF's I realized I was more interested on food since two out of my 3 GIF's related to that. I then started thinking about how my Mexican roots could relate to East Riverside. Therefore My book became a Mexican Recipe Book.

These buttons are a complement to the Bauhaus poster design. They are hand-crafted created in Illustrator. These buttons were to be given to individuals attending the exhibit for which the poster was advertising.

This poster is a 24 x 36. In this project I had to create a poster for a lecture series “Design Culture Now” and learn to tile it. I learned to explore new ideas by making a lot of drafts before coming up with my final poster. This is the first time I worked with illustrator.
