#Growtober2020 - Build your very own art morgue together with me ♥ Topic: Scales   Part: 3 As with the most topics that include many items, a simple overview at the end can help to keep a structure and make a fast review a lot easier. You don't want to search through all your notes only to find the one special shape, don't you?   Drawing the little snakes head made me realize how different all the scales are at her head. And how they bent, depending on the place. The eye looks a bit as if it wanted to pop out, but I wanted to keep it as clear as possible. Hope you can forgive me  And sorry for the photo quality! Remember to review what kind of scales/shapes have what kind of functionality, if you want to stay closer to nature. If you want to dive deeper into the fantasy world, that is also fine! This art morgue is not meant to cage you in or limit your imagination.  It is just a big box of ideas, that maybe get lost, if you don't use them from time to time! Have fun collecting more scales or maybe draw more scaled creatures to improve your mind morgue!  ♥ All Content belongs to me ShinyKijarr; You are not allowed to use my work or parts of it in any way.

#Growtober2020 - Build your very own art morgue together with me ♥ Topic: Scales   Part: 2 As you can see there are a lot of different scale out there to explore, manipulate and reintegrate into creatures no one would expect them at. Depending on their shape, their functionality changes. So the white-lipped pit-viper is able to grip branches, by widening the space between her belly scales and gripping the wooden texture. So the animal is able to make a path through the top of trees instead of being in danger on the floor of the forest. Amazing, isn't it?   There might be even more shapes and alternative details to them, but I decided to go with those nine in first place, because they show well how different things can be. Are you having other scales in your collection? Don't hesitate and post them in the comments! ♥ All Content belongs to me ShinyKijarr; You are not allowed to use my work or parts of it in any way.IMAGE DETAILS

#Growtober2020 - Build your very own art morgue together with me ♥ Topic:  Foreshortening Technique - Geometry   Part: 2 The second technique I wanted to include into my art morgue is about the geometry method. For me it looks like something you can use really well for anything, when it comes to huge pictures - best of with buildings and stuff. For my snake...well, I am not sure. I could imagine I am just not trained enough with this method, but it felt rather stiff to me. What do you think?   And some examples for both methods!

#Growtober2020 - Build your very own art morgue together with me ♥ Topic:  Foreshortening Technique - Coil/Spiral   Part: 1  Here we are! Firstly bringing shapes and forms into perspective and creating...things! Yay! I heard a lot about the foreshortening techniques, but until today I didn't get time/forgot about it, to study it and see how it works out for me. It feels really smooth, even when I am not trained with it. But I can recommand that you take a blank paper and only do circles for a while, to get a better handling for them.   And something that makes it a lot easier - try to imagine the creatures position as clear as possible. The clearer the image in your thoughts is, the easier it will be to bring it down on paper! Have fun with this technique and create some really coiled up things   All Content belongs to me ShinyKijarr; You are not allowed to use my work or parts of it in any way.

Topic: Forms
Part: 1 Forms. The advances kind of shapes. They can be simple, they can be horrifying complex. But nevertheless they are needed to create things and creatures. If you have problems imagine a specific body part of your creature (for example horns, shoulder armour or something), try to break it down into simpler forms. Cubes, cylinders and triangles, for example. It will help your brain to calibrate the perspective   1 2 = More papers about forms and hella complex things...halp.
P.s.: I know just tracing / coping them feels a lot more easy and faster. It probably is, though. But, you won't really understand what you are doing. So take the time and maybe just fill 2 papers with forms. Maybe evolve them into crystal formations? It can be fun to you, and at the end you know you mastered them on your own.   Have fun with them and keep creating! ♥

#Growtober2020 - Build your very own art morgue together with me ♥ Topic: Shapes Part: 1 Ehhhwww, Kijarr, why you bother me with tha basic shiteroni?! - you may ask. Well. The answer is simple - because it is the basic. And building a house without its fundament, might lead to an unstable construct. For sure your drawing skills won't collapse, because you maybe skip the shapes. But maybe you won't think about a certain shape when it comes to creating f.E. a symbol or a clan crest. Those little shapes are part of the "we build everything from this point"-group and they will give you a good start into your very own art morgue!  They are the base of your world and if you take a look at your desktop, you will see that everything you can find there, can be broken down into shapes and forms. Forms will appear with the next paper! Now grab your paper and your pen and try to collect all kind of shapes you can imagine or find! You might be surprised how many surround you.♥
