I want to say that with trans folk now being at risk of the fucking death sentence in Florida....

The time for community is Now. The time to start planning and organizing how to get our rights back is NOW. bring it up at your local LGBT craft events or book club or support group or whatever. Tell your friends. Spread the word. And maybe see which ones will have the safety and resources you'll need should a Lavender Hunt happen in your area.

And on the scarier end of reality....

This is fucking terrifying. Lots of people are at risk. Personally, I'm terrified this rhetoric will spread much like Trumpism did. I'm scared for my gf and I'm fucking scared for myself because we know historically that it isn't just trans folk on HRT or drag performers that they go after.

And you have every right to do whatever you need to protect yourself.

I'm not going to shame folks who quit HRT, who take the rainbows out of their bio, the people who start saying partner instead of revealing a gender, or anyone else taking a few steps towards the safety that the closet provides. WE shouldn't.

I fucking love you. And we'll be okay as long as we're together, okay?

the concern is that Desantis is challenging the supreme court law that mandated that it's cruel and unusual punishment to be put to death for a crime that did not end in the victims death.

Depending how that goes, it could very much open the door for him to write up new death sentences for LGBT ppl in Florida. Along with yes, changing sexual battery to include HRT and drag. He's already pushed through several bills making providing gender affirming care illegal for parents and doctors, and another that would allow the state to remove children being "subjected to" child abuse; trans healthcare

#update hello world! I’m capturing a few moments that were special to me (all the while recognizing where I’ve been missing out on grabbing them). Short term memory doesn’t always do it’s job for me, so I’m taking a moment to remember that every moment can be special if you make it. With the Gemini mars retrograde in place, I feel like I’ve truly been experiencing psychological warfare. Where I’ve been having to move day by day and reacting so much to life. But remembering that my planning hours are more than just that, but it’s a grounding ritual of mine. I can’t tell you just how much I needed to recognize this, but I’m extremely grateful that u did and redirecting myself to studying human design as well to catch the scientific side of the mind body connection in its own way. I have @bxknowsbest to thank for such an incredible mentorship and stepping me through the process of some truly great inner work and I’ve come out all the better for it as well as the guidance to where I can direct my focus. All of this lights me up, so it never really feels like work. I’m loving every step so far and really embracing where I am today. Feeling accomplished and reenergized to get things done and out 🥰 starting on doing more creative works (that we’re steadily finishing~) and giving myself more permission to be an active participant in my life and what that truly looks like for me. Today brings a special sense of gratitude to share. Over these past few months, this years eclipses have pushed me to challenge myself to push out of my comfort zone. I’ve gathered courage and received mentorship around human design to align myself to what I believe my life purpose is to be. And the preparation is still wonderful, but I’m taking my next step to show up for myself more and trust my ‘current me’ to pursue my dreams by helping ‘future me’ pull it off. My sketching series part 1! Earlier in the year, I made a choice to draw lighter designs every day until I could throw out all of our used ones around the house, it gave me a bit of excitement and provided me with some time to ground myself in the midst of finals prep and working to make ends meet.
