Presentation Complete

Today we successfully conducted our presentation at the Walker Art Gallery. We hope our efforts carried through, and excitedly await the outcome !

rehearsing our presentation today under timed conditions gave us a great insight to how well our work would translate for the real presentation, focusing on our delivery and fluidity of our work so far !

Finalising our presentation and discussing the good and bad aspects of it, we hoped to tweak our information to make it as efficient and well delivered as possible.

After the past few weeks of getting a draft presentation together, we've got some strong points and referances, and we are now reflecting back on the project specifics to make sure we are hitting every required category, and that we aren't straying from the required points and fields.

Update on the research so far !

To better research our content we've used the university databases ( for accurate reliable and relevant content), so software like Discover and Browzine have been particularly useful ! Due to the reading week in person contact has been quite difficult, but we've maintained good contact online, and will be further discussing ideas on Tuesday !

Its been decided ! After a week of looking through the options we have decided on Diana and Endymion, Francesco Solimena (1705-1710), we thought there was the most to work with from this painting, so now we're going forward with research !

Our future aims to progress with this are to meet once to twice a week to order our points and notes together, and see what way e can present our ideas in the most harmonious well flowing manner.

Today was the first group trip to the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, we each decided to choose an interesting painting to go home and research. Our plan for this would be to regather and discuss each one, and which painting had the strongest points to make to further explore for our project, the images chosen are

Diana and Endymion, Francesco Solimena (1705-1710)

And when did you last see your father? William Frederick Yeames (1835-1918)

As You Like It, Arthur Hughes ( 1832-1915)

The Family of Sir William Young, Johan Zoffany ( 1767-1770)

respectively !

Once we have made a decision on the strongest candidate, we'll update the blog and track the progression !!
