Its obvious to me when people who post about canaries in mines have never met a canary. Like yeah the miners had a special device to revive the canary because canaries are one of the most adorable creatures on the planet and they make adorable little chirping sounds and honestly probably loved the sounds of machinery and people talking so it was probably loud and friendly with the workers. Whatever though maybe meet a canary sometime and youd understand

I think I’ve realised today men not only find a woman’s fear arousing, but funny. A group of four teenage boys (about 16-17, all physically larger than me) catcalled me and chased me down the street, laughing when I started running and asked them to leave me alone. They decided to go to cut me off with a different path, and when I went to hide for a few minutes to shake them off, I heard them laughing about how scared I had been.

It’s important to share these experiences to remember that men will view not only as sexual property, but as prey that they can toy with like a cat with a mouse. If it hadn’t been light out with a large man in the vicinity who shouted at them I don’t know what they would have done to me, but I know they would have found it fucking funny.
