If the Sonic characters were ATLA benders what type of benders would you imagine them being? It can be based on their personalities, interests and/or powers/abilties?

im not right person to ask this i havent finished atla and i barely know the premise

so take this with a major grain of salt and with the assumption i know nothing about atla

Sonic would be Air because of his assocation to wind and free spirit i feel like thats given

Amy would be Fire I guess? because of passions and determination, same with Knuckles

Tails might be Water maybe…

Rouge is also Air to me

Shadow…Earth…??? idk

What are your favourite casting options for Amy Rose in SCU?

I have mentioned this before but I think a reasonable pick and fitting pick is Kimiko Glenn

But if I wanted to be really ambitious I was wondering if we could get a singer for her lowkey…like Sabrina Carpenter used to be on Disney so given she can still act I would LOVE if she could do an Amy voice

my absolutely FOOLISH friend Isaiah says that “Silver doesn’t have a personality he’s different in every game” so i’m gonna quickly break down Silver’s game personality. I’d say there are 7 big things to get about Silver

Silver is a punk ass. he’s rude, cocky, blunt, sarcastic and abrasive. Silver is super confident in himself and WILL fight anybody who disses him. he’s competitive and has a mischievous side. Silver is more rude and casual than Sonic because he’s so straightforward. this is the biggest difference between Silver and Trunks. i emphasize this part because Silver’s profiles never mention it, it’s his casual personality but it doesn’t mean that he’s mean(see the Sonic Forces dialogue down right) Silver’s punkassery is only really emphasized in the Rivals games so people tend to think he’s only like that in those but Silver is like that in every game and Sonic Channel story/art. i have a whole post of Silver’s informal-isms

Silver is pure, straightforward and honest: Silver is blunt and direct and doesn’t hide how he feels while Sonic and Shadow are coy. Silver’s so honest that he can’t tell lies and means everything he says. he’s a hard worker that trains his skills too. even though he has a cocky attitude Silver is humble and doesn’t think of himself as a hero(he’s really Taurus coded)

Silver is super positive. Silver is an optimist that never gives up hope, always looks up and inspires others. Silver is a kind and selfless person that loves world peace, nature, blue skies and smiles and appreciates them more than anyone because of his apocalyptic future. Silver loves making people happy and always thinks about other people’s happiness rather than his. Silver is self-sacrificial and most powerful when protecting others

Silver is really goal focused. he’s so goal focused and straight to the point that he can be impatient, get tunnel vision and zone out which ties into his impulsiveness. he’s pragmatic and doesn’t like extra details, distractions or things getting in his way. this is the serious part of Silver that makes him so locked in and take things more seriously than Sonic(which makes his naivety funny because he’s 100% serious with it) but even when playing games or just in general Silver is straight to the point and likes to focus because of his straightforward mindset. Silver can also be perceptive and figure out solutions no one else does like in the end of 06 and Forces

Silver is really emotional: Silver is passionate and emotionally unregulated. he has a hot-temper and can get riled up when he’s happy or easily frustrated but also gets really quiet when he’s sad or thinking. Sonic and Shadow are calm and coolheaded while Silver is hotheaded. his feelings can make him reckless, impatient, impulsive and crash out which is why in the original jpn version of Sonic 06 Blaze is worried about Silver rampaging like he does in the Rivals games instead of being insecure. so Silver is usually partnered with stoic people that calm him down. Silver also has super high empathy for the world and is driven by how much he cares

Silver is naive. Silver has an innocent worldview. since he’s from the future he takes things literally, doesn’t get social cues or jokes sometimes, doesn’t know what a lot of things in the present are and can approach things bluntly. Silver also has a sense wonder and likes seeing and doing new and cool things because he's new to a lot of stuff

Silver is a fighter: Silver fought and struggled for half his lifetime in the apocalyptic hell future and because of that he’s powerful and feral. Silver has super aggro expressions, makes fists all the time, punches things when he’s frustrated and instantly fight responds if you surprise him in Sonic Generations. Silver is extremely determined and stubborn. he will fight through anything and does not care about pain or his own safety. and he fights his friends for fun in Generations and IDW

i think everything clicks together for Silver if you say he’s a punk with a heart of gold but i think he’s a super well rounded character if you have all 7 of these at the same time and feel how they all play into each other

it was fanart actually believe it or not

specifically crossover fanart…with trolls

i distinctly remember just looking up some cute broppy fanart (trolls was my main hyperfixation at the time, I was like 11ish) and I found this crossover of the true color scene with Amy dressed as Poppy and Sonic as Branch

and i kid you not i looked at her and i went “there’s a pink sonic too??” (genuinely i would bully younger me so much she had no idea what an influence that pink sonic would be on her entire personality)

so i looked up “pink sonic” and wabam up popped the wiki page for amy rose

(disclaimer it did NOT look like this then)

basically i spiraled down a hole of the sonic wiki; i had also recently watched the movie so i was somewhat familiar with sonic at least by name but this was my real introduction to the franchise—i learned about sonic tails amy knuckles and rouge iirc

and then i found the shipping wiki page…

read up on sonamy and i was a huge romance fangirl so when i even latched onto the idea that sonic might have a girlfriend i was all over it, and thought sonamy was kinda sorta cute and i was interested to see what it actually looked like on screen so i was scrolling through the tv shows and the most visually appealing one to 11 year old me was sonic boom (Sonic x looked good from the screenshot but the second i turned it on i was like ‘oh hell nah this looks SO OLD’ LIKE UGH I WISH I WASNT LIKE THAT)

and sonic boom got me shipping sonamy like a maniac i was OBSESSEDDDD

but I (screw younger me fr) liked boom amy more than modern amy (THE BETRAYALLLLL) so i didnt associate too much with the mainline canon but i guess it kind of gradually just happened..??? just slowly but surely i became more acquainted with the mainli-

I DECIDED I REALLY REALLY LOVED SONIC BOOM SO I WAS INTERESTED IN THE OTHER STUFF AND IM ALSO A HUGE BOOKWORM SO I WANTED TO SEE IF THEY HAD ANY OFFICIAL BOOKS FOR SONIC

so i went to the library and found myself a few volumes of idw and archie

i actually started with archie but i had no idea who these new characters were and the artstyle wasn’t very appealing to me so i never finished them, so i went to idw

despite reading it out of order i was absolutely obsessed and the sonamy is pretty abundant in idw so i think that’s when i got really obsessed with them

then the sonic hyperfixation kinda disappeared for a good 3 or 4 years i think (replaced by tbhk my beloved), it sort of came back when frontiers dropped but not for long

then oh BOY it slammed back at me when Sonic 3 came out, but now I’m older and I again fell in love with sonamy but honestly for completely different reasons than just “aw they’re cute” (and you guys can look at my page yall know what i think of sonamy by now)

i really do hate younger me’s perception of sonamy but at least it got me interested in them, but like now its so different and those two lil gremlins mean so much to me 🥺

anyways sorry that turned into a rant but thanks for the ask!! I think I’ll blame sonic boom and the idw comics for getting me into sonamy 😂😂

and of course all the INCREDIBLE fanart (to name a few i rememeber looking up to way back when—kohane (im so sad she’s gone), chinchilla, ares, violet, moonlit-oasis (i think thats her user??) and charuzu off the top of my head :D
