Ah, yes, the Moon Lady! The silly shadow that won't seem to leave poor Olly alone.. I'll try to tell you as much as I can without spoiling too much!

Here's some fun facts :)

The Moon Lady is an oc shared between me and @inkybenjamin. She was originally created by him, and will be more fleshed out once I get to writing the AU again!

Moon, as suggested by her name, is the daughter of the Eternal Moon, the main threat of the AU. She's one of the many enemies Mario and Allie, and their friends, will encounter in their quest to save the world.

"Moon" is not her name, not her TRUE name at least, that's just what everyone calls her and what she calls herself to be "super mysterious". Her real name will be revealed by Olly later!

Moon has a fascination with puppets, I imagine she likes to make dolls in her free time. (quality varies depending on who the doll is of)

Moon canonically has ADHD!

Moon has an assortment of nicknames for everyone she encounters, ranging from "Best Friend" for King Olly, to "Red Italian and Annoying Detective" for.. well, you probably know.

Moon and the Lumas treat each other like the plague. If they do happen to be in the same room, they always have SOMETHING to argue about.

The Eternal Sun, Eternal Moon, Eternal Void, Eternal Star, and the Lumas are the only beings she cannot by ANY means puppeteer. Everybody else is free game though.

She acts very childish, but she knows when to get serious. (<- NOT A COPING MECHANISM. NOT AT ALL. NOOOOOPE.)

In addition to the nicknames, the Leader is known as "Babysitter", the Cult Members are "friends", and of course, the Eternal Moon is "mom".

Despite being so childish, she's a shockingly good listener and understands what people say. (<- NOT LORE IMPORTANT. NOPE. TOTALLY.)

Benjamin has said "if she wasn't a scary cult child she would be an ipad kid /silly"

Moon doesn't understand the concept of food. She doesn't need it! She can accidently starve the people she catches and doesn't really understand why they feel so sick later.

Okay. Now we're getting to the lore.

Moon met Olly while exploring the Origami Kingdom. Forces of the Red Moon Monastery had targeted him because of his connection to Dark Magic, something directly split off from the Eternal Moon's power. Being able to hide herself in shadows, Moon was sent to retrieve the Origami King.

Olly initially didn't see her as much of a threat... Creepy? Sure. Weird? Absolutely. Not a threat though. Just a weird kid that somehow got into his castle and into his bedroom without the Legion noticing, he didn't think much of it since Olivia had done the same thing on multiple occasions. Besides, he's the Origami King! He can handle ANY threat that comes near him! (<- spoiler alert, he can't.)

Being an excited goofball, Moon got VERY distracted, and immediately wanted to play with him. The Cult just.. didn't entertain her the way she wanted anymore, and the Leader just seemed bothered by her presence unless she was asked to do something. Olly isn't exactly.. playful, but he managed to bond with her over something that piqued her interest, what he's best at: Origami!

It was slow and calming, something Moon wasn't used too, and that made Olly very interesting to her. The Leader was BORING with how slow they took things, and it was always WORK.. He wasn't at all energetic like Moon was, and yet, he still had fun. It wasn't just boring work stuff, it was something he genuinely enjoyed and had fun with, and it was interesting that he could create shapes and animals from just one piece of paper! He spent maybe an hour or two teaching Moon origami before she remembered her mission.

Olly was led outside by Moon, as she told him that Princess Peach needed to talk with him. Well, that's a red flag, why couldn't she just come to the castle? As much as his brain was screaming at him that something bad was about to happen, he continued to remind himself of his own power and how he could "handle anything". He's a king, it's his job. Even if this was a waste of time, he'd be fine.. right?

yeah. no. Moon has a plethora of abilities. She can induce drowsiness by tapping someone's forehead, move and fuse with shadows, an unbroken communication with her mother... uhhh....

mind control.

that wasn't fun. that wasn't fun at all. Moon returned to the Cult Members waiting outside for her with Olly by her side, and they saw how much she enjoyed his company on the way back to the monastery. This resulted in them speaking with the Leader, and they decided to scratch the original plans for Olly and give him a NEW purpose: being Moon's playmate! It kept her from annoying them while they were working, and kept her entertained. Everyone was happy!

Well, except for Olly. Moon finds him more entertaining when he's conscious, since he isn't just a brainwashed puppet blindly following orders. His reactions and feelings are genuine, and he still does make an effort to keep her entertained, whether that be because he genuinely cares or just to save his skin. Think of them like King and the Collector from The Owl House! Olly wants to escape and get to his friends, help the heroes and everything, and Moon doesn't really realize how BIG and BAD her mom really is. She still puppeteers him if she thinks it's necessary.. he'd feel better if he wasn't thinking so hard and feeling all those stressful emotions anyway, right? She's just helping! And if he calms down, that gives them more time to play!

King Olly Headcanons Part 2!! {feat. Olivia, Mario, and Peach} (part 1 here)

Olly goes ALL OUT for events. Parties, Festivals, Birthdays, Holidays, EVERYTHING. Olivia always has a blast when her brother takes the helm of party-planning.

Though Origami will always be his favorite magical artform, he's looked into painting and sticker-making too. Olivia happily introduced him to Huey and Kersti when she discovered his curiosity!

Too many damn opinions and has a tendancy to voice them at the wrong times, Peach has helped him contain himself and his anger-fueled words.

If Olly considers someone a friend or close companion, he'll hand them an Origami Heart. Olivia usually says something like "Oh! My brother gave you that? He only does that if he REALLY likes somebody.. you're really lucky! I'm really glad my brother is making friends."

If Olly is there, his beloved pet Stapler is too. He carries treats for Stapler all the time!

If he gets an idea, he needs to carry it out or else his brain won't let him sleep, even if he was dead tired moments before! This has led to MANY late night art projects.

Flat out REFUSES to ask for help, it makes him feel incompetent and vulnerable. He only caves in once whatever's at hand proves he can't do it by himself.

Super fast learner, Olly can pick up a task, be given instructions, and quickly do whatever it is.

He really enjoys the nighttime, it's quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what he needs to clear his mind.

Olly enjoys eating small foods, or meals that come in small portions. He often snacks on cookies or tiny pastries.

He considers the moon and stars friends of his, and talks to them when he's alone.. He was EXTREMELY freaked out when Mario told him about Lumas. "wdym there's stars that are actually alive- this is a joke right??" "wait until I tell you about the space goddess that comes down here to play tennis and go-kart with us"

Really enjoys shiny things, like crystals. People often assume he knows a lot of crystaly spiritual stuff, nope, he just has crow brain.

This man has an incredibly dark sense of humor. He just CACKLES like the villainous dork he is.

okay that aside, I do have a few for the LoS! I've been in PMTOK since the game launched :) Get ready for a lot of text, pal!

Headcanon time.

Olly created each member very carefully, and let their personalities develop over training, which all took place before the events of PMTOK. Olivia didn't know about his full plan during this time, she thought he'd just build a kingdom, not take over existing ones.

Olly was made years before the 2020 Origami Festival, giving the Craftsman time to raise him and stuff. This made the betrayal harder on Olly.

Olly has dark magic, and Olivia has light magic. The Origami Craftsman made them to represent Yin and Yang, and to create balance in the potential Origami Kingdom.

Olly is EXTREMELY ATTACHED to the LoS, they felt like his only family after feeling so betrayed by the Origami Craftsman (and later, Olivia).

The Origami Craftsman actually made Stapler for Olly when he was younger! Olly's had Stapler since it was a puppy :)

Colored Pencils draws himself and the Legion in his freetime. They're his family and he cherishes them.

Rubber Band and Hole Punch make a great duo, with Hole Punch’s Dances and Rubber Band’s singing. They like to take turns with the spotlight.

Hole Punch has ADHD, and can't pay attention very well. He’s found that music helps him focus. (this may or may not be projecting)

Scissors will often hide their emotions, in fear that people will see them as “weak” if they’re shown to be emotionally vulnerable. They only trust the rest of the LoS with their emotional state.

Tape acts as the "most mature" of the LoS, he keeps everyone in line. They all see him as a sort of older brother figure.

Tape knows a lot of fun ocean facts! He likes to study sea stuff in his free time.

Scissors was actually pretty chill before Olly initated the war. They only discovered their love for bloodshed and sadistic nature during the training. Things got 100% worse when they realized they were the last Legion member alive, that completely broke them mentally.

Hole Punch's voice can influence the other LoS members to a degree, he uses this to calm them all down. This only works because they're all connected to Olly's magic, so it doesn't work on others. (like Mario, Bobby, Olivia, etc etc)

Colored Pencils uses He/They/It, Rubber Band uses It/Its, Hole Punch uses He/They, Tape uses He/Him, and Scissors uses They/Them.

okay just olly headcanons this time except a lot of it is projecting onto him

Olly is extremely self conscious about his public image and being perfect.

Olly has ADHD and Autism, but sees this as a problem and something that makes him “imperfect”.

Olly tends to fidget with small objects when he’s bored, like his earrings or the end of his cape.

Olly has an extremely hard time sleeping, much to his dismay.

Olly tends to shut himself in his room a lot, drowning out the rest of the world with music.

Olly loves piano music, and tends to listen to it to calm down. He also knows how to play piano, this headcanon is due to the little piano melody in the beginning of his battle theme (0:06 to 0:10). Faster melodies when he’s stressed or angry, softer melodies when he’s calm and content.

Olly seems like the kind of person who would know the lyrics to all the disney villain songs, but wouldn't sing around people. (He specifically likes “Be Prepared” from the Lion King)

Before Olly went mad with power and noticed the “scribble” on his stomach, the Origami Craftsman would sing/hum lullabies to Olly to help him sleep or calm down. Olly later passes this through the family by doing the same with Olivia and the Legion to help them sleep or calm down.

He for the love of god cannot control his anger, he tries to stay composed but my GOD is he petty.

Instead of 4th of July, The Mushroom Kingdom has the Origami Festival on July 17th. July 17 is also Olly’s birthday.

Olly hates emotions in general- not from other people, from himself. He hates feeling things and a lot of the time tries to hide his emotions.

Olly is actually very fun loving! He enjoys singing and dancing, festivals, etc.. he just 'grew up too fast' and prioritizes his kingly duties. He thinks it isn't okay for him to "be childish". He envies Olivia's innocence.

Olly takes a huge interest in the legends surrounding the Crystal Stars and the Shadow Queen, even more so since the Craftsman is a descendant of one of the Four Heroes. He rereads the stories about it a lot.

My version of events

Me and my sister got a sort of AU thing going on- and we both say it's canon we're nintendo real

During the ending festival, Mario thinks back to everything that happened, and how Olivia and Olly didn't really have a chance to LIVE. Sure, they were alive, but they didn't get to experience the world as it is, they didn't get to be kids. (Olly is 18, Olivia is 15) Mario decided to do what Olly did.. and with the help of Luigi, Bowser, Peach, and the Toads, the 1000 Paper Crane wish happened again. Olly, Olivia, and the LoS were all brought back to life. They all reside in Peach's Castle until Olly can handle his emotional/mental state and create his own Origami Kingdom, allied with the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms. Olly learns by observing how Peach rules and acting as a sort of assistant to her! (Later viewing Peach as a mother figure)

Olivia ends up meeting the rest of Mario's sidekicks, like Kersti, Goombella, Huey, and the Captain of the Odyssey... Cappy! Together they go on adventures in the Odyssey and explore the world, able to have fun and excitement if Mario is too busy. Olivia gets a good kick out of it and is more than happy to go, she sends postcards to Olly.

The Legion of Stationary all settle down and begin focusing on their passions rather than being soldiers for Olly, since he no longer needs that of them. Pencils persues his art, Rubber Band persues it's acting career, Hole Punch decides to help entertain Toad Town with music and dance, Tape begins working with Captain T. Ode to be closer to the oceans.. and Scissors decides to make use of their love for combat, giving training sessions to Toads who want to help protect the Kingdom.

Maybe I'll go on about the AU in another post, this is already long enough- BETCHA DIDN'T EXPECT ALL THAT, HUH?

Together they go on adventures in the Odyssey and explore the world, able to have fun and excitement if Mario is too busy. Olivia gets a good kick out of it and is more than happy to go, she sends postcards to Olly.

The Legion of Stationary all settle down and begin focusing on their passions rather than being soldiers for Olly, since he no longer needs that of them. Pencils persues his art, Rubber Band persues it's acting career, Hole Punch decides to help entertain Toad Town with music and dance, Tape begins working with Captain T. Ode to be closer to the oceans.. and Scissors decides to make use of their love for combat, giving training sessions to Toads who want to help protect the Kingdom.

Maybe I'll go on about the AU in another post, this is already long enough- BETCHA DIDN'T EXPECT ALL THAT, HUH?

Hello! I'm Cadence, or Artsy. I'm gonna be using Tumblr to post my OCs, AUs, or other media I'm in! I use She/Her and He/Him pronouns.

I am in TOO MANY fandoms to count and have too many hyperfixations, so take a look here for a google document of those + my boundaries and triggers.

Just a couple details I wanted to list off are down here.

The right glove being themed around the art program I use, Paint 3D, including the logo and in-app default palette.

My touchscreen digital pen, because im an artist.

My KinitoPET Shimeji/Desktop Pet as a lil sidekick of sorts. (I think I'll start calling him "KinShi")

and the penguin plush that holds my pen when i dont use it so it doesn't get lost, also a sidekick of sorts.

The watch on the left arm, displays various social medias I have.

Tried to make the hair look like paint? (because Paint 3D) also the head being like a paint palette.
